Oh my gosh, I clicked soooo fast Jenna! First off, the catio came out AWESOME and it does exactly what it is intended to do, keep your kitties happy. Secondly, the spider scene did not have a satisfying end scene. I see you didnt burn your rv down to expel it so how did that senario end😅 ? Listening to you laugh at Ramsey trying to get thru the locked catio door had me giggling. Animals are so funny.
This is a GREAT video Jenna and I love how you just dig in and make things. It doesn't have to be perfect as long as its functional. Thats what this lifestyle is all about. GOOD JOB JENNA 👍😀.
Haha thanks! I have been waiting for the day I would run into a wolf spider because I get them inside every Spring. One ran across my hand when I was picking out clothes from the closet once and that gave me the "heebie jeebies" lol. Functional is exactly what I go for! 👍

Well done! I’m sure the Furballs will be very happy with the expansion. Someone asked me a long time ago how I thought I could add an addition to my former home. Told them that nobody told me I didn’t know how to complete the job. Had the work inspected and passed first try. You never know what you can accomplish until you try. You did well.🙂

I forgot to let you know about the new lights I ordered. I put the four in and then realized I needed four more. Finished them today and WOW what a big difference in lighting and they don't use no where near the power like the old ones. Thanks 👍

Nice cat house! 🐱 if you can find some more of the metal chicken wires, you might want to use it all the way around it. The metal wire would not break as easily when they rub, scratch and press/push on the wire. Ramsey seems to know that if he pushes his face/head on the plastic wire, he could punch a hole through it. How do you insulate it from the cold in winter?
I don't insulate it in the winter, they go outside less in cold temps but they still go out as they please. Sometimes they play in the snow if it blows in on the catio floors lol

Speaking of truck, did you ever pull your rv with it? Do you recommend that truck for reliability including the 4 wheel drive system? Looking at them to replace my Ford Sport Trac. ? Guessing since you miss it as you may have mentioned, you may have an idea!
I never pulled my RV with it. It was a 1/4 ton so probably couldn't pull the weight. I loved the 4 wheel drive. It was a small truck but suited my needs at the time. It's too bad the rear end went and I had many exhaust issues

Hey Jenna, I've been on some some professional design/build jobs that didn't go as well as your "plan as you go" project. A handyman's special shall we call it, like building a clubhouse for the children; Ramsey and Rory. And they made it all worthwhile, trying it out in the end. One of your best videos again from beginning to end. I especially liked your idea of using chicken wire on the outside lower level to protect the kitties from the feral neighbors. You rule at "The Gypsy Den"! Rock on! Rob.

After watching your nice video I feel a little guilty. I am not as responsible as you are when protecting my cat, Mr zuess. In the summer months I put the pet door up for Mr zuess to use and he comes and goes as he wishes. He usually returns at night and I lock him in however some nights he exceeds the time frame and when that happens, I think the worst. With the increased sunshine and warmer weather he has been nagging me to let him out, so this weekend he will make his outdoor debut and I will face that fear again. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I need to follow your fine example and build me a catio. Mr zuess has 5 acres of danger and even more if he exceeds the property line of foxes, moose, and porcupines to name a few. What worries me the most a bird of prey snatching him up. Anyway enough of my fears, a gypsy type catio might be just the thing I need for peace of mind. I just love animal lovers, thank you for being a responsible one!
Let me know how the catio build goes. I hope mr. Zuess will enjoy. It's tough after they've had so much freedom but it's for their own safety even if they don't realize. So many dangers out there for them eh? Good luck with the build 😊
I need one for sure but I have some unfinished projects that carried over from last summer that I need to complete first before I begin a new project. Mr Zuess sorta looks like Mr Ramsey but Mr Zuess does not have tail.
