Jim is truly an indispensable, valuable team member: just as the track gets completely dumped on when the clouds move in, he lets you know that the track temperature is rising. As cited, the guy is an indispensable team member to an OPPOSING team. Then again I've never been to England, for all I know it rains boiling water there. Good thing there were no pit radios back in the day, or he'd for sure be hunted down after the race and pitch-forked to death.
@@hereward1971 Double Jims?? Hehe, one has a passive aggressive, judgemental tone. The other Jim spoke like he had a pair of man balls in his mouth. Being from this side of the pond I simply could not understand his dialect/accent/speaking impairment back when he was a race commentator. Much respect, Jim H, RIP.
Just a correction to your commentary: these'd be circa 1969 cars, not 1975. By then leather straps and helmets were replaced by heavy steel and instantly incinerating magnesium bodies.

James Hunt would have loved Jim........................LOL

Good to see you have the 1969 Skins, and I agree about Silverstone, although my fav is the 1991 version.
Those are fun to try and master Owen! Nice driving in the mixed conditions.👍
Thanks 👍
💯💯💯👍👍👍
Great driving! You managed to keep it always under control especially under that rain at the end. I would have crashed a long time ago haha
This was the 108th take......LOL
@@hereward1971 I have to respect the honesty lol
Epic! Very good drive! I always struggle with the lowdownforce oldmobiles.
Great beasts to learn (or die) throttle control :)
I miss the old Silverstone circuit.
Jim it was the 1975 track not the 1948 one with the RAF base in the middle............. ;)

The track is 1975 historic version not the cars ;)
