The good and healthy relationship between Scott and Tessa, the chemistry and affection between them, was evident when they skated, and even when they were publicly filmed. And, this chemistry would not just be based on the need to interpret a choreography well, there was something real in that relationship. But, probably, greater rationality in the way Tessa defines her life goals should having allowed Scott to conclude that Tessa was not interested in building an emotional life project with him.
