Hey Barbara, I love it all. I so want to paint my kitchen cabinets but my husband is not on the same page with me. Our crown molding is stained , I want it painted to 😢. Maybe some day. You do a beautiful job . Love it.❤️
It took me a minute to get my husband on board, but when I started taking him to model homes he noticed none of the cabinets looked like ours. Men have a love for wood, but I had to show him that our cabinets were nothing special. 😏😉 Tfw

Hello Barbara how are you? I actually remember when you painted the fireplace and I think your husband rebuilt your mantle to fit your specifications. I think that the mantle was a DIY. I never forgot and I've been trying to get my husband to do something similar but we have so many projects that one is on the backburner. Have a good weekend 🥰
I know what you mean you have to pick and choose your projects. Yes we did make the mantel over, but when you saw me paint it, that was about the 3rd time. If you go to the very end of the small space video you will see the original red brick and moreo old pics. It was pretty bad. 😏Tfw 😊

Big improvement and so pretty. You are to be complimented on all the work you have done to lighten and brighten this area. I wouldn't be in too big a hurry to replace older appliances as the new ones are not made to last as long. Loved how you said you intend to get new ones "but not today". Thanks again for sharing.

what a difference from the original colors and style!!! Appliances are so expensive and don't last like they used to. We have our ugly old 1995 white refrigerator in the garage and it still works perfectly while inside our kitchen we our on our third frig! I say keep yours as long as they work since the black ones blend in with your esthetic.

Your home is gorgeous! Maybe you could use some of the paints for metal and paint your appliances.
I thought about that, but I'm not sure how painting appliances will hold up. 😏 😊
@decoratingwithbarbara8125 Get the metal paint for outdoor things. I painted a metal #3 wash tub to plant flowers in by my friend's gate, and it has held up beautifully for over 4 years and counting. I did put 2 coats of polyurethane over it to make sure it would be sealed well, because the Florida sun is ruthless. I also used it on our mailbox, and it still looks new after 3 years.
