Danny Elfman is a legend, not only composed one of my favorite tv shows. He composed one of my favorite movies of all time ” Spider-Man”. I surely think both titles wouldn't be the same without his work.
@@盧長劍 Different composers write in different ways. Some compose "In their heads" without touching a keyboard, and some write at the piano. Makes no difference, as long as the end result is good music.
I saw Danny Elfman in Glasgow few years ago and the orchestra played this song at the end. It was amazing. The entire concert was incredible, amazing experience.
Lawyer: "Well, what about that tattoo on your chest. Doesn't it say 'Die Bart, Die'?" Sideshow Bob: "No! That's German for 'The Bart, the'." ~gentle chuckles from the courtroom observers~ But seriously folks, this has to be perhaps the greatest musical TV theme ever written. Its whimsy is only matched by its sense of bland suburbia with a hint of cheekiness (obviously Bart) added. I have heard many attempts over the years to capture this live. This one is the best so far even if the timing is just a tad slow.
And you can imagine that Simpsons attended this concert: Lisa is listening with great joy, Marge is delighted too, Bart is singing inappropriate words, Homer is trying to silence him, little Maggie is sucking on her pacifier and looking at everything, because she is first time at the concert, and grandpa Abe sleeps and wakes up only when music ended...
Watching this performed live at a slower tempo than the recording used in the show really demonstrates how difficult it is to play music in this style with rapid arpeggios and scales. Your fingers would be on fire afterward!
Just saw the 'True' video. Nothing bad DOES ever happen to this guy !!! 'I'm Afraid'. Loved it in '81 when I 1st heard it. Rock on Sir Elfman...the mystical knight.
Anyone else notice at 0:44 how they were out of sync but then corrected themselves at 0:48, the sheer talent for that many people to take only 4 seconds to correct themselves is astounding. Excellent performance!!
Kairozart not at all !!! This was composed by Mr danny elfman the composer of the first spiderman, beetlejuice , charlie and the chocolate factory , avengers : age of ultron and many more.....
Maybe silly is not the right word. Whimsical, child-like. I'm familiar with Danny Elfman and his music going back to his Oingo Boingo days. He is an iconic composer/musician. The music is silly but it fits the context of the show. Doesn't mean it's bad, in fact, the opposite. It brilliantly captures the essence of the Simpsons, which is silly, comical. That's all that was meant.
This is the opposite of silly.. it's fun and a very difficult piece, I play an instrument and the past I'd have to play, I don't think I could really do it unless I practiced that like 5 hours a day at least. If I could play that sing half as good as this I'd be proud. But once achieved I can tell it would be one of my favorites to play. It sounds amazing it's lighthearted innocent yet naughty and cheerful
Amazing magnificent the way it can be played is so diverse. I just love Simpsons intro theme song it is one of the best cartoon intro songs in history plain and simple. I wonder do they have the same Orchestra players when they restructure the sound of the song.
I'm 36....heard this theme tune thousands of times.... but SEEING it being performed... just WOW. Masterpiece.
2:39 It’s him the man who is responsible for one of the most iconic TV theme tunes of all time
Oingo Boingo guy!
He is Michael Jackson
Danny ELFMAN!!!!

Not to mention THEE Most icon theme of it’s genre, Batman, as well as all of Tim Burton’s films, etc.
One of my personal favorites is _Wonka’s Welcome Song_ I might actually be addicted to that song.
oh my god the lighting makes them yellow
To think that he wrote this in his head on his drive home after seeing a pencil sketch of the opening and wrote the whole thing in a day.
Are you sure he wrote the whole thing in his head? That's not usually how composing works.
@@盧長劍 If youre good it can be done

@@盧長劍 to be fair the whole song revolves around one vamp and just changes keys like six times so it’s plausible

This is interesting, we are used to hear this theme as a custom but few really appreciate this is actually a masterpiece on a performance
I never knew that Harrison Ford had an orchestra.

it's not Harrison Ford, it's John Mauceri.

This is my favourite version! I keep coming back to listen to it! xx
For me is very good, but to be honest I prefer some moments, which are in a TV series 😅
This always gives me chills

Das beste live Konzert passt genau jeder Ton wie im Vorspann.Super schön anzuhören.Ich liebe es.
2:38 that's Danny Elfman if i'm not mistaken, the legend himself 😀
yes he is and he is crying
Loved the sax solo.
I guess that's in a reference to Lisa Simpson.
It's the bit in the titles where Mr largo kicks Lisa out and she plays as she leaves
Just now realizing that, with a full orchestra, this sounds like a Gershwin song.
Forget expert these guys are master musicians
i feel like "jolly" is the perfect word to describe this
Amazing Composer , Awesome Interpretation ¡ Thanks ¡¡
I mean how can he not laugh orchestrating that. I would be cracking up. Brilliant work.
