Thanks for another informative and entertaining review, and thanks for the mention of my question re:wilderness lodge comparison.
I guess, like you said, it comes down to the question of theming preferences and sentimentality. Having been to both Yosemite and an African safari, the only thing I’d say is the scale of the AKL is totally out of proportion to anything I saw on my trip, whereas the wilderness lodge does have the look of what I saw around Yosemite both in style and scale. Therefore the latter is always going to feel that little bit more authentic. But I can see how you could still get easily lost in the attention to detail of the immersive theming of either.
As a European my preference would probably be the wilderness lodge, as going to America for an American theme feels right somehow. Plus I like the lakeside look of wilderness lodge. Pools and dining look great at both by the way!

Another thing that might sway one toward wilderness lodge or AKL is simply location. Do you prefer to spend more time at MK or at DAK. We have stayed at both WL(CCV) and AKL(Jambo and Kidani). We really like AKV we prefer staying at CCV simply because its closer to MK and like the dining options more.

@@richardbrice9542 You can't beat the Bison Burger at Geyser Point Bar & Grill. Plus its really nice to be out by the water. For and upscale unique character dining experience you can't beat Story Book Dining at Artist Point.

@Arthur2990 probably the Riveria since it has Skyliner access and it's the latest hotel built currently. Ik some people have said it's mediocre for what it costs, but it still looks nice to me
