It is the comeback of the season period
Better Things" (and "Life's Too Short" if ur familiar w that one) is actually an outlier in the aespa discography. It was clearly an attempt to break into the US market, but the original aespa sound with its grimy production & heavy beats infused with hyperpop/hip hop elements is basically cyberpunk/dark futuristic music, in line with their lore. "Drama" is just them going back to their roots. "Savage," "Girls" and "Next Level" are more representative of their music. Thanks for reacting and re-appreciating aespa!! I hope this becomes a crossover hit for them because the song's a banger (imo a very cohesive song with a focused attack -- I like their more intricate songs but the straightforwardness of this may appeal more widely) that serves attitude in spades, and the mv is just stunning & well thought-out (never has an mv complemented and enhanced a song this well in recent yrs imo, the synergy is yep, next level). Thoroughly pleased with aespa's return to form.

The average American likes kpop groups like Blackpink, that's why when I watch the reactions of Americans or Europeans who react to kpop idols like Red Velvet and whatever they do, they are just like normal, but when they react to Blackpink they are very excited and enthusiastic as if they will be music experts. This is the reason why I'm lazy about watching reaction creator content if it's not from a musician or music observer, because only music observers know how good Red Velvet and Aespa's music or other SM kpop groups are. For example, these three. They seem to act like they like Aespa, but it's real if you watch their reaction videos when reacting to Blackpink or other hip hop groups, it's like they were possessed by a hip hop ghost and suddenly became kpopers. But, it's okay because I've liked the kpop group SM since I was young, I really understand how to be SMstan in the eyes of today's kpopers. It's okay, I appreciate your content.
