IMPACT: great interview. I like that is respectful and in depth. Thanks for this. Funny how he describes his musical relationship with Dagon with a love relation; but I guess that is how it's works.
Great interview. Inquisition is a very talented band, I first discovered them through an interview in the Metal Maniacs mag for there Invoking the majestic throne... the way they create such an atmosphere as a two piece I’m glad there getting more recognition they deserve.
Great interview! Both he and Jason are so down to earth and it's refreshing to see an interview with a great/classic Black Metal band who don't put on any kind of front or feel the need to shove their beliefs in your face. Musicians like this are why, in my opinion they are among the "elite" in their genre. Well done!
I had a wicked idea Because I was thinking about inquisition's discography and was going through what I liked and what I didn't about each album when I realized that the songs generally are very memorable and uniquely structured, yet there is an essence and hint of something you almost get from the most timeless classic rock. Something like a song like desolate funeral chant has real staying power, also like the blues has staying power and very deep roots to match the depth of metal, thrash, black, death ect. My idea is to re interpret iconic inquisition songs to be blues rock songs, but the trick is to do it in a way that will be cool and not corny because I can easily imagine it ruining songs for them if done carelessly.
Ominous Doctrines is an Amazing album and what got me into Inquisition. I only have 3 tattoos and my last one is the original art from Magnificent Glorification on my chest. That album definitely made me feel a certain way and the band showed me how black metal can truly be so diverse without breaking integrity.
Dagon and Incubus are so down to earth, really good guys and an amazing band. It's hard to believe such a massive sound comes from a 2 piece.
One of the coolest sounding metal drummers out there. Love that guy.
Inquisition is the only band to make me truly be in a trance like state listening to an album. Favorite band on the planet.
I could speak with them after their show In Kuurne, Belgium (13th April 2024), very sympathic and accessible guys. My favorite band ever !
Great drummer, a beast
Great interview
