As a child psychologist and parent, it’s hard to find a solid work-life balance. My kids at work become part of my heart, but my kids at home need my support in such unique, different, and challenging ways. Two teen girls who would do anything for anyone and who work so hard to get good grades and stay involved because they know my day revolves around children’s emotions, they don’t want to add to that stress. But, they should feel allowed to. I want to remind them always that their emotions matter to me.
We’ve been just trying to get by this year… things have been tight in so many ways, but I am bound and determined to make this holiday special without having to sacrifice all my free time with them by spending another day with a different child. Thank you for considering our list, from the bottom of my heart, and thank you for being the best role models I could ask for for my girls 💕

Thank you for creating a safe space for the young moms. When my child was younger it would have been really nice to have a place like the one you've created. I'm a 35 year old single mama and my son is 17. I have been raising him by myself since he was 4 months old. I just wanted to say how proud I am of you Jennica. I'm not even a mom but that last gift made me cry. When my parents got a divorce, my mom became a single mom of two teenage daughters and she was a full time uni student. I remember her skipping meals so my sister and i could get our dance and drama classes. Idk how she did it but we always got christmas presents. This is such a great gesture because i do know how had it is to not have a lot of money and try to figure out how to pay bills and stuff. Thank you for being you and for raising awarness about teen pregnancy and single parenting !
