- I am trying the One Book July where you colour in one book during the month. The book selected is A Million Cute Animals by Lulu Mayo as it is one of my 5 books to complete in 2024

Yes they are hamsters eating the strawberries, I would colour them as a wild European hamster or a Syrian hamster, they come in a huge variety of colours. I actually have three pet hamsters. 😊

The animal you’re not sure of I believe is a Hamster cause he looks like his cheeks are stuffed hehe 🥰 - I think you are right with the cake animals. I believe they are Beavers too! Lovely idea. I’m not sure I could commit to just one book but I might see if I can pick one of these pages to colour during the month of July ❤❤

Hi Jody that’s a great plan ! I think get books are adorable and I have a few of them but I struggle with that paper I haven’t found any thing that I will say works great on it 😂 hope you can get it completed
Thanks Jackie, the staedtler pigment pens work great on the paper as well as my pencils. I know some folks do struggle finding a medium they like.
That's a great idea! We could do one page in an olympic color palette (with the colors of the 5 circles + canada and france colors?) :D The ice cream one may lend itself to such colorful palette, or the multicat one

Such a fun idea!! I think perhaps the animals eating the strawberries are picas? I’d love to colour along with you but mine is still packed away.

Hi Jody. This sounds like a fun challenge. Good luck with it! Unfortunately I don't have a copy of A Million Cute Animals so I won't be able to colour along with you. Jess (at colouring bumblebee) has just started a scavenger hunt which applies to all of Lulu Mayo's books. I'm assuming that it will continue in July with new prompts, which might be useful motivation for you when tackling those remaining pages.

Hi Jody, wow I think this is a fun idea! I am right now doing Lulu’s tarot book, I don’t know why I just got started and thought this will be fun! I am marching through the Major Arcane right now! I will follow you in A Million Cute Animals just cause it would be fun! So will I will try and follow you! Looking forward to it! Oh I think those animals are chipmunks! Her I think they are rabbits remind me of peeps so I always color them yellow!! I also believe those are beavers too! I too love owls! My favorite bird is a falcon but Owls completely captivate me! I have an owl house up in my yard and have hosted a small western screech owl! It’s fun when it is in the house! Looking forward to this!

Great idea to try to get some done, you can do others if you need to - I might try to get to this book only coloured 1 page so far in it - good luck 😂

It can be hard to stick to one book but not impossible, and it allows you to experiment with different mediums and techniques when you become so familiar with one drawing style I think. 😊 I managed to complete Around the World quickly by focussing on the one book with just a few other pages when I felt “bored “. Good luck with your challenge ❤
