Love, Love the color! So not loving just white, & tan. Prom Queen beautiful! Thank you for sharing your imagination with us. Evelynne from Columbus Ohio.
Sammie... with the IOD air dry clay, if I glue it down with Titebond Quick & Thick but make sure to cover the entire back of the mold with a thin layer of glue and I mean every square inch if the mould and then paint it when the clay is still wet, I never get any shrinking or cracking in my clay. You literally have to make sure the entire back of the mould gas glue all over it, I usually just use my finger and then make sure it is glued down well with all the edge glue down so that it is like suction cupped to the surface, I am usually good. Plus painting the mould once wet will keep the mould moiste longer and it doesn't cracks or shrink a bit! Plus with the Titebond Quick & Thick, you don't have to worry about your moulds slipping. I never have to tape them down. Hope this helps 😊❤️
Great projects...all of them. I actually love the flowers taking over. Here in the hills and woods of Wisconsin, with all of our snow, the rabbits are totally ruining my shrubs. Not happy with rabbits right now! Enjoy your videos and learn something from every single one. Thanks for sharing and have a great day.
Love them allllll. I love the envelope. Blue is my favorite color. I have a couple of those envelopes. I got 3/$2 at a garage sale. I need to use them!
Hot Humble Pie uses hot glue in the molds, she said you could even put the sticks in the mold and place them in the oven to melt. They won’t shrink and they took paint too!
I love the glue you used. I have found that It dries faster if you dampen whatever you are trying to adhere to. So you would dampen the frame, put the glue on the mold, then bring the two pieces together. I think it says it in the instructions. This glue is great for gluing glass to glass.
These are so springy & cute but I LOVE that envelope. It is adorable & that paint color is pure perfection! 💖 I am SO digging the spring vibes & can't wait for the daggum weather to get here. I'm ready for the next season already! Ok, rant over...loving the diy's girl.
All were beautiful! I couldn’t pick a favorite between the envelope and bird print. Thanks for introducing new brands and the inspiration to use then. 💗
Beautiful projects! Did you know if you put a thin coat of Mod Podge on both surfaces it reduces the buckling effect? Also using glue stick to adhere the image helps reduce bubbles. Thanks for sharing your expertise!
I use the same construction glue that Jami Ray uses on her channel on the moulds and anything else that you would use E6000 for on wood or metal and it is awesome! It dries clear and really fast! Love it! There is a smaller tube also if you do not want to use the caulk size.
I am a new subscriber and I am addicted to your DIY’s! I am catching up on all your videos and came across the video of your life story and I am so impressed with your strength and positivity. I am a fanF!
Hi Sammi, water-based clays will shrink a little, some more than others. You could try different brands or make your own version ( like a salt dough ) and using the same mould make a few samples and compare the the shrinkage. The IOD looks to be a very smooth clay, different clays will have slight different textures too so some may work better in the moulds than others. To compensate for shrinkage - For the straight, flat pieces like you used to frame out the picture you could let the pieces dry and then cut them down ( gently ) with a fine hack saw. That way you could even mitre the corners if you wanted to. Also did you know most superglues are water soluble ? This would explain why it took so long to for the Gorilla glue to set/bond with the wet clay and frame. It could also weaken the bond long term. In between air dry clay and resin there is another alternative. You could try polymer clay ( Sculpey or Premo or Sculpey Light even ) It is cured in your oven at around 320-325 F ( see individual brand instructions ) . No shrinkage like air dry ! And cheaper than resin ! Moulds can be sprayed with a little water to stop the clay sticking then fill and remove the excess the same as with the IOD air clay. Then you can either bake them in the oven flat or formed around a smooth shiny glass, ceramic or metal object ( something that won’t melt in the oven ). It will stick lightly but to whatever you bake it on but will come off easily afterwards. Then just superglue or wood glue it to your chosen piece. You end up with a resin like hard plastic but it will be slightly flexible, much easier to cut with a saw mitre/ hack saw, mitre shears or even a pair of scissors and a craft knife if thin enough. It will also cut much smoother and cleaner than an air dry clay. Two I suppose disadvantages of polymer clay : 1 no instant gratification - like the resin you need to cure first . 2 Being a polymer it can react with certain things. The main one would be you can’t use Modge Podge on it as it will make cured polymer sticky. (Ginger from Blue Bottle Tree is a fabulous resource for all things polymer and has great info on sealers. You can use a water based polyurethane varnish (matt satin or gloss) to seal it . Acrylic or chalk paint is also no problem, natural wax also no problem. Hope this might be useful. I’ve used polymer clay to repair some old furniture. I made a silicone mould of some carved wooden edging and made a replacement for a missing piece in polymer. It worked great.
I love the piece with the dark pink flowers…I know you don’t, so would it help to dry brush or stamp a lighter color over it to wash out that brightness and then use your ink chalk paint and repress your rabbit stamp so it stands out more? Just a suggestion…love ya girl ❤️
Missed the Live but I binged the videos I’ve missed!❣️ As usual I love everything you created, you always get just the perfect blend of textures and colors to make each one unique! Love love the colors!! I have to make the frame with your print out. I’ll check out description below so I can get that!! Thank you so much for sharing🥰
Everything you're doing just now is so my taste! I love the old fashioned look, and anything with the crackle finish! The only thing I'd change, is I'd put a soft green around the frame, instead of the blue, as that's what goes with my home. Love love love these!❤❤❤
Loved the envelope. I looked in your Amazon store and could not find the rub-on transfers. Maybe Amazon takes them out if they are no longer available?
You have so many pretty projects in this video! Thank you for using the paper clay. I have never used it and will give it a try. Thank you for hosting this challenge where you lift up other creators and their talents! I really enjoyed joining in this month, you’re awesome!!🤍🐑💐💛
The clay bird in left bottom corner....I think should have been same or close to the color of bird in the print. That way it would pop and look like it is part of the nest scene. But that's just my opinion.
I'm currently working through a large bottle of the gorilla clear glue and am so annoyed with it... it's so runny and dries very glossy. Can't wait to be done with it, 😆
Hint from an artist. Whenever you place a critter (person, bird, animal) on an visual object, always place them facing to the center or to a focal point to create a cohesive image. It would have been better to have the nest on the left and the bird on the right. Otherwise, it looks disjointed, and the viewers eye will follow where the bird is looking, and look "out" of the object, rather than explore within the object. Just a professional hint. ❤
Loved that blue
DEVINE! bird plack!
Love your vision.

Hi Sammie! Nice to finally catch you live
That diy is lovely 😍.
Sammie... with the IOD air dry clay, if I glue it down with Titebond Quick & Thick but make sure to cover the entire back of the mold with a thin layer of glue and I mean every square inch if the mould and then paint it when the clay is still wet, I never get any shrinking or cracking in my clay. Everything is so cute! I really love the second one, with those colors!!
Loved all of these. And, I love IOD anything. Can’t wait for them new release
Nice diy's. My favorite was the double frame with the bird and mould. Thanks for sharing the other crafters.
I use e6000 to glue all mine down works pretty good I haven't had any issues
Air dry clay does shrink. I prefer Tight Bond. Never had a problem and I used on furniture. I love Prom Queen too!
I loved all of them! Thank you so much!
You just get better and better! I love watching you. This is absolutely awesome! 15:14
Loved the framed picture
Love the pictures frame with the molds....it came out beautifully 😍 ❤️
Loving the crackle! I’m not a bright color person but that one with the blue frame turned out to be gorgeous.
Love them allllll. I love the envelope. Blue is my favorite color. I have a couple of those envelopes.
I got 3/$2 at a garage sale. I need to use them!
Hello, my first time live
Everything turned out so gorgeous!!!!!

I love all your videos! Im going out craft shopping today! Thanks you Sammie!😁🥰❤
I love the envelope. I would definitely do this for my home. I love crackle on my decor. Been doing that for years.

These are gorgeous 🤩! I love all of them! TYFS 🥰
They are all beautiful!!!
Beautiful work girly, the envelope & picture are my favorites, well birds anything are my faves, but again all are gorgeous tfs. Big Thumbs Up 👍🥰🙏
Hot Humble Pie uses hot glue in the molds, she said you could even put the sticks in the mold and place them in the oven to melt. They won’t shrink and they took paint too!
Any silicone mold will work. I always check the baking section of stores as they are often used for fondant, too.
I love them all! But mostly the beautiful picture and frame!❤
I love the glue you used. I have found that It dries faster if you dampen whatever you are trying to adhere to. So you would dampen the frame, put the glue on the mold, then bring the two pieces together. I think it says it in the instructions. This glue is great for gluing glass to glass.

Try DAS clay. It shrinks very little. It's a clay based if I recall correctly. I use Tite Bond quick and thick. The blue bottle.
All were beautiful! I couldn’t pick a favorite between the envelope and bird print. Thanks for introducing new brands and the inspiration to use then. 💗
I am a potter and yes all clay shrinks as it dries. Even paper clay.
Beautiful projects! Did you know if you put a thin coat of Mod Podge on both surfaces it reduces the buckling effect? Also using glue stick to adhere the image helps reduce bubbles. Thanks for sharing your expertise!
Thanks for those tips!
Everything turned out stunning, Sammie 😍
Love the crackle finish and the new colors! 🤗
You always know just how much to embellish and when to stop so it’s not too much. ❤
I love the first envelope, the blue is gorgeous!
I use the same construction glue that Jami Ray uses on her channel on the moulds and anything else that you would use E6000 for on wood or metal and it is awesome! It dries clear and really fast! Love it! There is a smaller tube also if you do not want to use the caulk size.
I love crackle finishes and the framed bird print is gorgeous! A little spring inspiration is definitely needed here in the frozen south!

Welcome to the UDD community Sondra! 🦄 👋🏻
I love the bird print, bright blue paint, and contrast you created with the lighter background.
Your channel pushes me to try new things and I really appreciate that.
Farmers Paradise uses something called Hearty Soft clay for that reason.
I love them! Can’t wait to try to do them. Thanks for sharing Sammie🥰
Thanks so much for the shout out! You did a beautiful job on all these projects! Love how you used that crackle! 🤩
Love the prima transfer! They also have one with hydrangeas that I am currently using on spring projects

Lovely ideas! I use the Das paper clay and I like it. Not much shrinkage. I get it at hobby lobby when it’s 40% off.

I LOVE the water lily color with the bird image! 🐦 That turned out so gorgeous.

I am loving diy #2! Spring came right into my living room! The paper is to die for and that lily blue... Sammie, you nailed it!
Everything you're doing just now is so my taste! I love the old fashioned look, and anything with the crackle finish! The only thing I'd change, is I'd put a soft green around the frame, instead of the blue, as that's what goes with my home. Love love love these!❤❤❤

The clay bird in left bottom corner....I think should have been same or close to the color of bird in the print. That way it would pop and look like it is part of the nest scene. But that's just my opinion.
If you lay the embellishments down and push on each end a little, you will not get the shrinkage and the cracks are minamal
What brand of paint is Prom Queen? I’m in love!!
I'm currently working through a large bottle of the gorilla clear glue and am so annoyed with it... it's so runny and dries very glossy. Can't wait to be done with it, 😆
I love watching you and your video. Do you have a video on your diy wax?
Hi Tara! Thank you! It’s an actual DIY wax that I make it’s from the Debs diy paint 😊 but I do use it in a lot of my videos so tons of tutorials
Sammie these are beautiful! Where do you get your paper clay?
Hint from an artist.
