Clement Moore the author lived next door to my recent address in Newport, R.I. It was his poem visit from St, Nick,He wrote the poem in New York his winter residence,,as a gift to his children, My father read it to us every Christmas Eve, I have the poem on my desk as I write this with such fond memories of him and the wonderful illusions of the story,
