This is indeed a rarity, a Midnight Odyssey track that's under 10 minutes long.
I hope there's good amount of clean vocals as well, like the last album Biolume 2 or "Shards of Silver Fade". His vocals are diverse and his range is impressive and i think it's overall amazing. This song has some "Funerals from the Astral Sphere" vibes to it as well which i really like. Can't wait to hear the rest.
Midnight Odyssey has been referred to as the "Pink Floyd" of extreme metal (i absolutely agree) and are in my opinion one of the most innovative and underrated BM bands in the world right now.
Considering it's all been just one guy doing it makes it that much more amazing.

I absolutely love the more symphonic elements that have been added, especially the brass instruments! This adds so much more depth to what is already a fantastically nuanced and varied song. I'm incredibly excited to see what the rest of the album will be like!
Well if I had to use one word to describe Midnight Odyssey's music, its "ethereal". I'm sure the rest of the album will be no different.

AMAZING song! I should really listen to more symphonic black metal like this; have only really gotten into Emperor, the last Albionic Hermeticism album and To The Gates of Blasphemous Fire by Nokturnal Mortum.
Dear buddy, I suggest you to give a try to couple bands: Mare Cognitum (best albums for me: Phobos monolith and Luminiferous Aether) and Tardigrada (just teo albums, both awesome). Ofc are not the very same, but they get this feeling of "absolutelly well played and incredibly beautiful and emotional black metal". Hope you enjoy it.

Im not a fan of comparing bands, but in my head i just jeep thinking how this is what Dimmu Borgir should have continued to sound like. Nevertheless, Midnight Odyssey never fail to add that touch of magic to black metal

This sounds so much like Limbonic Art, with bits of Emperor and other bands thrown in. 🤔 I have enjoyed Pater's music greatly but this is a bit lacking in originality. Then again, the 2nd wave elements are a nice touch. I need to listen more.
