Replicating the likes of Kante and Essien are discouraged and impossible. Discouraged because tactically football is changing, specialist are slowly fading and all arounders are more and more encouraged. Players should be able to (although not fully achieved) defend and attack and not rely one single player to roam around winning the ball which is basically what those two players did. Impossible because the two were just physically gifted. They had something you cant just go into the gym/training in and achieve it. Even in their generation they were one of a kind. Finding the 'next' of Essien and Kante is basically a hit or a miss which could possibly what Chelsea is doing by stockpiling every 'talent' they can get their hands on. Plus, judging young players to be immediately be like those legends or be like the players you grew up watching is just pandering. Time to move on.
If we cant get him then we should go for thuram at nice, only a year left on his contract, 23 yrs old 6'4 we need someone physical to go with mainoo and Bruno
I would rather sign a specialist 6 that fits with Mainoo at 8. We are only playing a double pivot recently as ETH has moved away from his usual tactical principles over the last month to get results, especially after that terrible Palace game. Fofana as a single pivot 6 is not good enough on the ball imo, and if we keep ETH next season, he will go back to his normal tactical principles. So a specialist ball playing 6 with defending principles and legs to fit with Mainoo would be ideal. Fofana himself said he prefers to play higher up rather than a 6. £25m is a great price, but that shouldn't be a reason to not get the right profile of player IMO.
Rice has said he prefers to play as a 8 cause he likes going forward. Rodri wasn’t a 6 in Atletico. And there’s no way you’ve watch Fofana play as a 6 especially for France and say he’s not go enough on the ball to play as a 6 because he’s great on the ball. Relentless tackler and very good in all ranges of passes. He’s perfect to play right next to kobbie he’s better than Onana in every aspect bar height.
@@Moonmaestro11 IMO he's not good enough on the ball for what i want a single pivot 6 to do. Any one who has watched ETH football at United will know that the way we play is that we bypass the midfield anyway a lot of the time and look to hit runners, hence not a controlled possession game that requires a true ball playing 6. For that role Forfana could be fine, but that's not the football i think will get us back up to winning the league. If we want to play a more risky game (which i don't think ETH wants to) that involves a 6 dropping deep to create angles and play with Mainoo to dominate the midfield, Forfana isn't IMO that type of footballer. He wants to run with the ball more (like an 8 has freedom to do) than pass and move and intricate balls around players to then receive it and dictate play and having the positional discipline to do so. So in that sense he's not the best profile of player for a single 6 in a more ball dominant midfield, and i would rather keep Mainoo in an 8 due to his ability on the ball. The point about France i don't care about as i never judge a footballer based on international matches, that is just a waste of time.
@@directorme6669 In a current ETH system that doesn't require elite ball ability, rather a more transitional athletic game that bypasses the midfield, then Onana can do it quite well. But in a team that looks to dominate the midfield, especially against better teams, Onana similar to Forfana would not be an ideal profile of player IMO.
If united could land Fofana and Amrabat for around £35m that is good business. My top choice is Amadou Onana but he will cost close to twice the above price.
bro am not expert like you i would like for you to do a research on Atalanta midfielder Anderson. i only watched him playing against Leverkusen on Europer league final and his an engine bro
Jacob Devaney... give this boy 2 more years. keep amrabat and sign fofana, that'll be great... then McAllister and Devaney will start knocking in 2 to 3 years time.
@@larryjohnston5995 Paulinha is rumored to have a gentleman's agreement of around 40 Mil because of the Bayern transfer saga last season. Ndidi would be a rotation option and FREE. Which is important for FFP as United have limited room even with good sales and have a lot of positions to improve. And he had a good season with Leicester.
Can't afford both. I would suggest Fofana and Caqueret instead of the more expensive options of Zubimendi and Ugarte from a purely financial perspective. If we had the money I would prefer Zubimendi but to get two midfielders they will probably have to be in the £30m range rather than the £50m plus range.
There's some low hanging fruit at good prices this summer like Fofana and Todibo. We should find out whether INEOS are clueless like their predecessors. I'll be annoyed if we don't pursue these type of players and they go on to be stars elsewhere
Todibo is a starting level player, fofana isn't at the highest level, we should look towards Adam Wharton Bruno G Douglas Luiz who can play the ball well.

@@directorme6669not good enough
I don't know why no one is talking about pepelu from valancia i feel like he is the type of player we need more than a fofana
Keep amarabat as back up and get fofana
If united could land Fofana and Amrabat for around £35m that is good business. My top choice is Amadou Onana but he will cost close to twice the above price.
Amrabat isn't that good. We can do better.
French too often also means potentially problematic.
bro am not expert like you i would like for you to do a research on Atalanta midfielder Anderson. i only watched him playing against Leverkusen on Europer league final and his an engine bro
We probably need another one or two, considering we are probably losing up to four midfielders. Isnt Ndidi and Rabiot on a free this summer?
I worry about how much Rabiot will demand for wages. Remember we don't the incentive of UCL and his mother...... ..
Why not Palhinha? Proven in PL?
We stil don't have a general in that midfield! A Rodri type of midfielder. Can Fofana be the one?
Mats Wieffer would be that type of signing, but he’s probably going to Liverpool.
Jacob Devaney... give this boy 2 more years. keep amrabat and sign fofana, that'll be great... then McAllister and Devaney will start knocking in 2 to 3 years time.
What do you guys think of signing Ndidi on a free this summer?
give more information about Antonio Nusa
This is our Yaya Toure
Todibo fofana doue Olise French revolution incoming 👍
Ederson also a player we should be looking at
id go for Fofana and Joao Gomes, 30-40 m each
Paulinha and Ndidi. 40 and Free.
@@Hyde_Hill paulinha will cost 60+ and ndidi is passed it
joao gomes will cost 70 plus or even 80 though the player is quality and above fofana
We need a new CDM (whether its Fofana or someone else) + one out of Casemiro and Amrabat
We should buy now.... because France are going to win the Euro....
Can't Max Oyedele partner Mainoo? It will be dream and they've known each other well
Can see it now, Borussia Dortmund agree deal for Fofana.
If eth gets fofana and frenkie then he will do wonders with united …
I'm sorry, I've suffered a lot of trauma in the past with United. So I fully expect them to botch this.
FOFANA AND UGARTE
AGGRESSIVELY BONKERS
Can't afford both. I would suggest Fofana and Caqueret instead of the more expensive options of Zubimendi and Ugarte from a purely financial perspective. If we had the money I would prefer Zubimendi but to get two midfielders they will probably have to be in the £30m range rather than the £50m plus range.
What about Andre from Fluminese?
Mainoo Bruno Fofana would be such a dominant Mid but Mainoo needs to work on his physicality
@@randperson7692 agree and I'd be all over Wharton especially but I fear Palace would demand wat over his actual worth. We need to steer away from such buys - contrary to popular belief I reckon price tag has an impact on performance for most modern footballers
I lyk ederson from Atalanta, him first then fofana
We can sign bruno from newcastle since they dont have europe they need to sell. 60m should be getting him
I wish we buy, but i doubt they will
Rather keep amrabat as a squad player
looool Amrabat for 20m? , who going to be 29 in the next year...? makes no sense also we already paid £10 in loan fees for him, united may as well kept Fred
@@RandomVideosFirst for an extra 10mil he’s basically free
He is 27, and i am sure he would be staying in premiere league as crystal Palace and new castle are eying him@@RandomVideosFirst
