Fr I asked my teacher if there computers had an antivirus and they just looked at me like they didn’t know what an antivirus was and I’m just come on man. Your a adult you should know what a antivirus is but I didn’t say that but felt like it💀
@@skyshunts lol dude. Most people who aren't tech savvy don't know much about computers. Teachers are not technicians. They don't know how the IT infrastructure of their school/district works. This is coming from someone who work sin IT in a district. There's a lot of stuff we do behind the scenes that most people outside of our department don't know about.
Why are school districts compiling and storing that much information on students? Grades, test scores, addresses, contact numbers, and pertinent medical information is all we used to store in cumulative records, not online.
This topic came came up during an electrical functions course I was in. Safety and security were just too expensive so this is what we ended up with. Rather aggravating when I was there to help just to be told there wasn't much I could do There are contracts and ideas to fix things but... apparently it's cost AND skilled workers. The weird part is when protestors started telling us we were working for the wrong side. By helping to build hospitals and schools it is the wrong side? They didn't explain anything they shouted. My pursuit of a career ended in that field shortly after many of our phones got hacked at the school and our data was deleted. Lost all the contacts I made in the work program over the years I studied. Never went back.
And teachers wonder why we use our own computers instead of these crappy Chromebooks that can't even keep my data safe from a toddler.

Whatever you do, don’t share personal information with anyone else you don’t know!! It’s dangerous!
GOOD! It shows and EXPOSES how IMCOMPETENT these IT departments are for these school districts!!!!
Very true

This is scary for all students . Students must be careful
Single with a cat. 😂
We need to invest more on cybersecurity and make it a big deal here. We are armed with guns but some are not with knowledge to defend themselves.

Republicans aren’t exactly known for their IT or computer skills but this seems like a leap unless you got some kind of source / reasoning.
