- Traveling to Acadia was such a magical experience and I'm so excited to share it with you all! This is the most dog friendly national park we've been to, so Rue got to enjoy many hikes as well. 🐾 I spent many hours editing this footage into a narrative, which is a new style video for me. It’s wild to see a whole vlog about the area I live in! We’re very fortunate to live about 30 minutes from Acadia and raise our family here. It’s incredible to be able to just take our son for a hike after work or explore the beach. Thanks for sharing!

I did one trail hike in Acadia in 2019 on my way to Canada. I think it was the Cadillac Mountain S Ridge trail. Now that I have a van I am going to spend a few days there in 2024.

I really enjoyed your video! We have stayed at Bar harbor villager motel several times the location is great! Just a short walk to Chocolate latte for morning coffee and the climbing school.

Lived near the park in the 70's. Loved that area. Park rules have changed a lot since then though.

Good stuff Sarah. I have a buddy that lives in Portland Maine and go there often. Great little "city" with an easy vibe. Good food, good people and crappy weather most of the year.. I'm a Florida guy so sunshine is important!

So glad you got to enjoy Acadia/Bar Harbor. You couldn’t have picked a better time to visit as it is quite crowded in the summertime. Rue looked like she enjoyed herself too. I live a couple hours away up the coast and we try to visit in the fall during foliage season.
Such a beautiful area. We visited the Portland Maine area earlier this year, we traveled North a bit and hiked, but would have liked to go farther North to Acadia but there wasn’t enough time. 😊

What was the name of the beach where you spent the first night? I couldn't catch the name. We spend June and July in Phippsburg, about an hour northeast of Portland.

So how do you get health insurance?
When I was a traveling Nurse, some travel companies offer it, but not much compensation. It was about the same price as getting my own outside health insurance. I realize you’re not asking me, but that was my experience.
