Very good explanation sir. My home is in Ground Floor Chennai and faced water problem due to road raised. So that I am raising my home floor now, so ceiling height will be 7 feet 10 inch after finished this work. I am not able to put hole at top, since first floor home owner is different. Any idea to reduce the heat?

can i construct 11 feet ceiling height in chennai? mt contractor is saying I will have heat problems.. but i feel it will look spacious and cooler. please advise

without proper ventilation Increasing height won't help to reduce heat. Increase in 1 ft won't much difference in room volume.

There are many ways to solve the issue but it will surely cost u. Sound dampening and Heat resistant materials can be used to reduce sound and heat. They will only bring material and installation cost. If u add AC for better comfort, it will bring monthly expenses with production and installation cost. Depending upon ur situation u can decide what to do.
