This video offers one possible solution to a noisy engine and vibration and rattling in the cabin of your car. It could be that your engine mounts are worn.
Just bought my 16 year old son a 99 SLK 230 manual and spent about 5 hours total teaching him the right way to shift.I was told when purchasing from original owner that I would have to replace the mounts soon and that’s why I got it for 4K.My mechanic, who works on my 2011 535i quoted me $785 total to replace the m.m and said nothing about the transmission mount!?! Thank you for the video/ info... You the man
sorry to be so offtopic but does any of you know of a trick to get back into an Instagram account..? I somehow forgot my account password. I would love any tricks you can give me
@Merrick Benton Thanks for your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm trying it out now. Seems to take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I just replaced mine on an SLK 350. All three. The two engine mounts and the transmission mount. Now at idle, I can't even tell that the engine is running. Like night and day.
@@AmericanConstellation I've replaced the transmission mount already, that wasn't too hard. But I didn't see the locations for the 2 motor mounts, and how easy was it to access?

Isn't there a third mount that's flat and square?
Yes there is. I believe I changed that in a different video years ago.

Nice! Good job 👏 👍
Are the location and methods about the same as the SLK250? Can't find a video with the V6 motor.
@@iJayBT Should be two in the front and one where the transmission is.
