Jason..Extremely helpful video. Managing our EOC Pactor and Packet Radio Winlink Whitelists has recently been an issue. Now I know why we do not receive replies to Text messages. 😁

This is cool. If I enter specific addresses on the winlink.org whitelist webpage, do those expire too? I would think to save some transmission time, it would be good to create a mailing distribution list of emergency contact email addresses to notify a bunch of hams/family at one time, and whitelist their addresses through the winlink.org web whitelist management page in advance.
To my knowledge, they expire regardless of how you add them. At least that's the way I read the documentation. Creating that distribution list is a great idea! I am working on a pi script that will auto update the whitelist every three months.

vtext.com is for SMS messages, vzwpix.com is for MMS messages. The person sending the text message back to you may have some control over which one they're sending, but it's very obfuscated these days! There are similar addresses for other carriers.
If i remember correctly, text messages going to email are done as MMS.

Another option would be to set up an email specifically for forwarding to and from WinLink, for example:
KM4ACK+EMERGENCY@GMAIL.COM
Where if you send an email from you Winlink account a filter (on Gmail) forwards to everyone you want to notify and when they reply back a filter sends a WinLink email to you. Additionally you could set up filters to only email people in the subject line or via a special designation.
FYI the website "freecarrierlookup" states "Sorry, captcha suspended due to abuse". Effectively disabling it's capability.
That's not good! Looks like we broke the website. Hopefully they get it fixed soon.
