Clara Lieu was an Adjunct Professor at the Rhode Island School of Design from 2007-2020. Her artwork has been exhibited at the International Print Center NY, the Currier Museum, Childs Gallery, the Davis Museum, and more. Lieu received an artist fellowship from the MA Cultural Council, has written for the NY Times, and lectured at Brown University, the NAEA conference, and in Vancouver & China. I know Georgie may not translate in the typical sense for a children's story. But it spoke to me quite personally, as someone who grew up in the military and went to 9 schools k-12 all over the country. It made perfect sense to me. This comment is probably irrelevant as it's a personal connection but just saying that not everything needs a super clear beginning middle and end! You never know who will connect to a story that seemingly doesn't make sense. It certainly connected with me.
