Burrow was sacked a Super Bowl record-tying seven times as he was under duress early and often. Afterward, the Bengals' quarterback said quote: 'I was disappointed in my performance overall. NFL is a scam fraudulent business & so is Roger Goodell the guy is supposed to be a problem solver, yet can't solve anything of value. Like not allowing a home field advantage in the last 2 years of the superbowl.
By NOT putting the game be at a neutral field,what a joke. The NFL and NBA they try to rig the games as much as can for bigger markets to get the win by the letting these big city teams stack All-stars.Roger goodell needs to step down ,retire , get fired. Geez duh he cant even find a neutral field for the superbowl instead the home team gets Home field advantage the last 2 years come on what are the fans paying this guys salary for he should be able to have a neutral field on standby like they have done it with covid many times. Bengals need to invest every single penny they got on offensive lineman.
And maybe convince Anthony Munoz to come out of retirement.
Everything else around him is great tho. So for me it’s impressive but idk if I would go as far as to call it a miracle. Mahomes made it to the SB with a similar problem with his O-line cause everything else around him was still good.
That’s what I’ve been saying. In the playoffs it primarily took misplaces from the opposing team to win the game. It was definitely a miracle. If they don’t upgrade that team in this offseason, then they might never make it to another SB. This was their best chance where all of the stars aligned.
Oh, now you want to blame the O line. But just a few days ago, you Bengals fans thought Barrow was great. Barrow got exposed, he’s average.
Can't blame it all on Burrow. Bengals need to fix their offensive line. 51 sacks in the season and 19 in the playoffs on Burrow. How do you expect him to keep you in the lead when it's that bad?
Its definitely not all on Burrow but he deserves some blame. Missed some throws and made some bad reads. Also held onto the ball too long for some of those sacks

Other QB's that take sacks get blamed for holding the ball too long or not throwing it away. Yet for some weird reason, nobody blamed Burrow for taking all these sacks. The O-line isn't the worst in the league by far. He gets more time to throw than Sam Darnold, for example. What gives with these weird excuse-making for him?

It really was a tale of two halves. The first half Burrow was getting the ball out quick, the running game was good with the Oline and about 4 minutes left in the third the wheels came off
I give the OLine a D+. They run block pretty ok but gahdamn the pass protection is unacceptable for a team in the SB.
Then at NO # 3 last year , they [ SHOULD ] have gotten a nice OL ? There were a FEW last year . Will there be one at the NO # 31 draft spot this year & lets SEE how well that works out ? BUT , at least he HAS 3 WR"S with over 825 yards , 2 , over 1, 000 + yards & a RB with 1, 200 + yards to work with again .

I think a b is much more fair. The offensive line since that 75 yard Td to Higgins just collapsed. And with that Von Miller sack, he got injured. They also deferred to Mixon a lot because the run game was working so well. He still made 2 huge throws. And after the 2nd Kupp TD he was getting years pretty quick. I don’t understand them running the ball in a 3rd down without Mixon. It would have been better if they went to Mixon or just gave the ball to Burrow who made 2 great throws in his last 3 throws. He did not play like the way we expected him to but he had a pretty good game until the offensive line got exposed against the best defense in the playoffs.

Skip logic: if you lose in the earlier rounds of the playoffs that doesn't matter, the guy I want to defend would have won in the final game of the season even if he couldn't get it done to get there.
To all those who replied....well, TB had a better O-Line that game. You can't mention the positives in one situation, without doing the same for the other situation.
Do they forget that this was Burrow's second year, he's obviously not going to be able to read a defense pre-snap like Brady would. I don't understand all these comparisons when they're comparing Burrow to Brady in his 20th season
I don't think people compare Burrow now to Brady now. They just see a lot of similarities and promise that Brady showed early on when he started making SB appearances.

He's a 2nd year QB who came back from a knee injury and took his team with a horrible offensive line to the super bowl. Not saying he's the next Brady or GOAT, but you have to put things into perspective. He also played a team that was bought and filled with superstars. Gotta judge him after he gets an o line. Can still be one of the greats.
The Rams also had important players injured, let's hope the Bengals can improve their o-line, I don't want another talent going to waste due to ineptitude of the organization

Joe Burrow is a good young quarterback. Pump the brakes on everything else. The Bengals had a great run to the Super Bowl. The quarterback normally gets too much credit. He had 5tds and 2ints in 4games. If it wasn't for the defenses late stand against the raiders, the late pick against the Titans and the second half play against the Chiefs, the Bengals wouldn't have gotten anywhere. Had nothing to do with Burrow. Just because the media hypes someone, they still have to get the job done. Next year with a healthy Ravens team and depending on who the Steelers get at quarterback, it's no forgone conclusion that the Bengals will be back next year.
Credit where it's due Burrows not gonna have a long career if he continues to take this level of punishment. He's definitely talented but you can't get sacked 70+ times a season and also have the longevity other qbs have had.
It'll be much healthier for QB debates if we just treat Brady like we treat Bill Russell - ain't nobody getting 7 rings so let's just dial back the expectations to what everybody is likely to maybe win - 1 SB ring if they're fortunate, 2 SB rings if they're great, and anymore than that is all time all time

Against titans he threw for 348 while getting sacked 9 times and threw a beautiful pass to chase to get the game winning field goal. Against chiefs he was great late in the 4qt and overtime. He was ok In the sb but let’s be real his o line collapsed in the 2nd half and that’s y they lost. No one expected them to be there so he really played well in his first playoff run and over achieved. If it wasn’t for him they wouldn’t even been in the playoffs. Burrows QBR v. Vegas, was 63, this is good not great. QBR v. Titans, 28, this is very bad, QBR v. KC 55, this is just above average. QBR in Super Bowl (despite a 75 yd TD thats should have been reversed) was 40 which was below average. Total QBR's in playoff this year, Josh Allen 94, P Mahommes 79, Stafford 66, MAc Jones 54, Jimmy G 52, Joe Burrow 45

Bengals will be good but people need to slow down saying Joe B will be in another superbowl. Dan Marino went once and never went again, plus the Bengals overachieved. Imagine if Burrow had at least one Whitworth-like blocker for him. Say the Bengals pick a big blocker up in free agency and then draft a good offensive tackle in the first round. Just imagine what he'll be able to do with time in the pocket.
Whitworth was getting beat all game. But totally our Oline got beat we knew asking a tall order for the Oline they just did as best they could do and clearly it wasn't enough.
Give him Zack Martin or Quentin Nelson on the last play and they win the SB with Jamarr Chase beating Ramsey on that 4th &1

I think a lot of these young coaches want to show off “I can do this with anyone watch this”. Or making really risky analytics play calls when they don’t need to. This game might have been swung the other way if the Bengals don’t go for it on their own 40 in the first quarter. That’s a dumb analytics call. Just punt it.
I just think of those Cowboys teams with Emmitt. Not comparing Mixon to Emmitt but if you think for one second the Cowboys are putting a backup RB in place of him on a game deciding play you would be kidding yourself.

His rating of QBs for the year was at #4 with 70 sacks because of his O-line. Number 4. With a 108 QB rating. He was average? I need to you to repeat that AGAIN.. RANKED NUMBER 4 of ALL QBs at the end of the year with 70 SACKS....Mahomes, who finished behind burrow had 28 sacks on the year.
Read this and call him average again... Because 70 sacks and he outshined all but 3 qb's who had far superior O-lines than him..

Both teams got favourable calls (Rams with a holding call in their favour in the 4th which was weak at best). End of the day, people doubted Stafford and overrated Burrow. I hope Burrow wins it all soon enough, but to be saying he was better than Stafford who is known for 4th quarter comeback drives is ludicrous!

Joe Burrow doesn't need to be like anyone else but who he is. He's young. The Bengals will be back and it's just nice to see a SB with some different teams. People needed to relax on the comparisons. Now, Skip, let’s go over some numbers…
Burrow was credited with 263 yards passing and a TD.
But, we know that the TD and 75 of those yards never could have been completed had Higgins not used Ramsay’s face mask as a handle to toss him aside. When that happened, Ramsey was right in front of Higgins, so close Higgins wrapped his arm around him. No way that pass is completed.
So, instead of 263 and a TD, it should have been 188 yards passing and no TD.
However, 44 more of those yards came from a single play to Chase. I was over thrown and if not for a truly great one handed catch, it’s incomplete. I credit Chase, but that was an an aberration.
It also means that without those 2 plays, Burrow passes for an anemic 144 yards the rest of the game. That’s pretty poor.
But there is more. Burrow was also sacked 7 times for minus 43 yards, giving him a net gain of just 101 yards for the rest of the entire game.
He was a pathetic 3-16 on 3rd down. He was 1-3 on 4th down and failed to throw even 1 legitimate TD.
How you can call that anything but a terrible performance is beyond me
This game was so close that if just a few plays had went the Bengals way they would have won this....there was no "blowout" by the Rams as some predicted and there never was going to be one...

You can check forums from around that time, Madden Ratings, or other places. Brady has only had two years of his career where people weren't sure of him.
