Though I agree that in this interview they couldn't get passed her being an attractive girl, I don't think Rachel as a character progressed AT ALL passed the first 3 seasons. Like, the real injustice is how little her character changed. She's an amazing, strong, intellectual woman in the show but they didn't do anything with it apart from being Mike's wife. She had some moments here and there with her dad, but that's legit it.

Had I watched this Larry King episode back in 2015, I would have definitely watched Suits back then. This is one of the best series I have ever watched.

Party Zone not true at all. Yes Gabriel and Patrick are the two co-leads but the others make up the main cast. It's a very small cast for a TV series, they mostly all have equal parts. Meghan's role was never minor.
unfortunately it doesn't work like this in tv-show world, for example - I've been watching Hawaii 5-0 since season 1, it's on it's 8th season, after season 7 two of the cast left because they felt they were part of main cast but the show runners treated them as supporting ones, to me they were main character from ep. 1 because they were part of the main team, and it always was a small cast, but not for the show runners,
it is unfair to me, I really liked them, they made an awesome team the four of them, at least they are mentioned from time to time and not treated like they never existed (like it happened with Teen Wolf characters that died - never to be mentioned like they never existed...)
Markle's body language is dreadful. She really didn't like it when Adams was answering any of the question. If the spotlight was taken away from her the look on her face is priceless. The cold fury was almost tangible.

He's 80-something. Has interviewed the most iconic legends of our times. He's just going through the motions now interviewing little known tv stars because he prefers to work than retire. Many men are like that. They lose their sense of purpose when they retire. This was not a good interview.
Actually, he's not really interrupting them, by the time he inserts these questions, they're pretty much done talking, he just doesn't let them transition to silence. They start to go "and... yeah" and that's when he cuts off
She does not want to share the interview with Patrick, she shows signs of being annoyed when she is not the first one answering. No chemistry between them at all.

I never heard about this show or this woman until she got Henry. Her voice changed -- look for the engagement interview in which she speaks softly, and compare it with this one here.
And Meghan in all her public speeches was always proud of her dad. She will always find a way to throw in his successful career as a lightening director. Unbelievable - I only came across Suits a few days ago (living under a rock) been binging since and cannot believe how consistently good (no, make that excellent) this show is. I have Prince Harry to thank for my curiosity about an American marrying into the British Royal Family which in turn made me aware of the show. Rachel Zane was not the “go to girl with an encyclopaedic knowledge of the law.” She was a failed law student who couldn’t get into law school and was eye candy and Mike Ross’s love interest. The go to girl was Harvey’s secretary Donna.

Great interview! Not sure why the complaints about Patrick talking too much--Meghan talked a lot, and their conversation flows naturally. Nothing sounds stilted or forced. I'm a Suits fan first--couldn't care less about Meghan/Harry except knowing that Meghan is happy. Love Patrick, and didn't know he'd done a pilot with Meghan years ago. Prophetic that Patrick says Mike will eventually need to become a legit lawyer, and that Meghan thinks, as early as season 3, that Rachel and Mike are probably building toward eventual marriage.

Rachel Zane was not the “go to girl with an encyclopaedic knowledge of the law.” She was a failed law student who couldn’t get into law school and was eye candy and Mike Ross’s love interest. The go to girl was Harvey’s secretary Donna.
So much hate lol. Just watch the show. She was the go to girl who put in the work & had great knowledge of the law. While Donna is amazing, she doesn't have any knowledge of the law as such.

Great interview! Not sure why the complaints about Patrick talking too much--Meghan talked a lot, and their conversation flows naturally. Nothing sounds stilted or forced. I'm a Suits fan first--couldn't care less about Meghan/Harry except knowing that Meghan is happy. Love Patrick, and didn't know he'd done a pilot with Meghan years ago. Prophetic that Patrick says Mike will eventually need to become a legit lawyer, and that Meghan thinks, as early as season 3, that Rachel and Mike are probably building toward eventual marriage.
