@@ecinlexu I opened to laptop and found where the WiFi Adapter is located.At times a laptop may fall so the WiFi adapter cable will get disconnected.You have to make press the cables connected to the WiFi Adapter to be sure it is properly connected.
The driver is already installed on the computer and will reinstall your possibly corrupted driver when you restart your PC. I followed the advice and it worked for me.

guys it was not worked for me, then I connected my PC with a LAN broadband connection and I updated the wifi drive, now my PC can catch-all wifi signals very super fast. So guys go and update the driver that is the solution.

I found another method for the people that couldnt fix the problem: -Connect your phone to your pc using a USB cable (android) -Download the Intel Wifi Proset -Transfer it to your pc and set it up, it should work.

I signed up my window 8.1 with a Microsoft email a few years.. I haven’t used the laptop in a few years.. and possibly moved away and therefore use a new network.. I have access to the Microsoft email I setup the laptop. however, when I try to login to the laptop, it is saying to use the last password used to login to the PC. And the PC is NOT connected to the internet. I tried to connect to the internet, although it is showing as connected, I don’t think it is actually connected (since it’s a new network, it says “We can’t connect to the internet right now. please try again”).. I don’t believe I remember the last password I used to login to the laptop.. It only has the Microsoft account, no other account on it!. Does anyone know how to connect to the internet (new network) without logging in to the PC?!

This worked on my wife's creaky 2014 ASUS so it should work for anyone. Recommend just going straight to the DNS flush and restart. You should do this periodically anyway for security reasons. If you can't connect to your wifi just hit the reset button on the router and it should hook back up in about 30 seconds.
My pc initially ran vista,i also have xp pro,win7 and win 10 on this pc separate HDDs and SSDs where appropriate,i have a belkin N wireless usb wifi adaptor and it does not work with win 8.1 at all it does work on all the other OSs i use?,I have a TP-link AC1300 Archer T4U usb wif adaptor that is recognised but i get a message saying cannot connect to this network,i've input the passkey but it still won't allow wifi access. I assumed because everything works with fine from xp to win 10 that 8.1 would be ok,vista does not work with the AC1300 connector and why i kept the older belkin usb adaptor connected up to win 10 .The AC1300 has wps connection so does our new router which is days old,i'm going to try to down load a newer driver for the belkin as i'm using win7 to type this i'll need to down load and transfer the driver file seeing as win 8.1 won't connect,i'm no-where near the router or i'd have at it with a lan cable to get drivers,failing this i may have to use those earth plug lan connectors. I know the pc is not new and far from it ,but i'm sure it was also sold with win 7 32 bit and i was sold end of line as in vista OS pc than win 7,all the new OSs work fine with no issues ecept win 7 had to update gpu drivers because it was bsod now and then,but has been stable since the new driver. I can't figure why 8.1 will reject adaptors that win 10 uses easily. Any one got any similar problems,fixes.

Did not help. Windows 8.1 will not connect to a ASUS AC2900 router for some reason. Tried just about everything so far.
