4-6-8 weeks vs 6 months on the hard. Ouch! $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. Now Millennium is part of the Expedition group and has its own identity. Like the sail colors. A lot of lessons learned from Sylfia used to upgrade and retrofit Millennium. Many of Sylfia's crew returning to help with rework. Blessed. Crew intimately know the boat and systems. Congrats Aitor and Tom. Boat captains.
I am soooooooo phreaking stoked you guys are back. Congrats to Aitor (sorry if it is misspelled) and Tom for their new Captaincy and many great adventures ahead. The new boat Millennium is looking great.
You literally saved this boat! I know it was a lot more work and dollars, but in the end, she is beautiful again. I am sure Mark is proud of how well you have done her up, and that she will be sailing on for years. Congrats! Also, Congrats to Tom and Aitor on the Captain's license. Aitor said he would be back, will he be your captain on the Millenium or Sylphi (the other boat you are not captaining?). Great job! Being a steel-hulled boat makes them both so strong.
OMG, she turned out absolutely beautiful. The amount of work looked overwhelming, but the result is breathtaking. Love the black & white theme too. Congrats Nate & all the crew, you should be proud.
What a project! The spirit that you all have, the vision and commitment. GREAT job. extremely inspiring. You guys deserve all the glory and adventure. Fair winds laddies, fair seas.
Congratulations fixing all that rust! Nate I appreciate how humble you are describing the 6 month journey of bringing this boat back to life. Not once did you complain how much money it cost. I imagine a bundle!
When i was watching your episodes on your previous vessel, i began shopping for a boat to attempt what ur doing and came across Millenium. I dreamed of acquiring her. Glad to see u found her, beautiful story. May your voyages be blessed and memorable. Bon voyage‼️🙏🏻✨💟
i wondered where u guys got to,, i enjoy watching ur adventures... good to see a group of young people working together.. and the old girl (boat) looks great... remember,,, steel is real..
Yacht looks stunning- a lot of up front blood, sweat and $$$$. Love everyones enthusiasm and can do attitude. With all the references to other channels I realise how far behind yr videos are. Cant wait for expedition to begin.
WOW Nate, she looks amazing. This is a great episode showing the continued struggles with the rebuild but finally you got her wet, 😏. Remember when we pulled her out of the water and we had hoped it would only take 2 weeks? hahaha. Anyway great episode Nate, I think you are on your way through Indo and i wish i could join you for all the diving in Raja that was some of the most incredible diving i have ever done and i know you will spend way too much time underwater out there, as you should. let all that hard boat work finally pay off. Love you man.
Boat is looking awesome! You've done an amazing amount .. I'm sure the video is only showing a small bit .. glad to see it floating! Distinctive colors!
Lovely to see Nadine in your video. Bernard and Nadine (Nanu) built there first boat next to my boat in Durban South Africa. Many years later I would miss them by 4 days when I arrived in Puerto Williams Chile.
Great job, fist fixing all the boat and then drill holes in it so it sinks faster. I never had an understanding for underwater lights, pretty fancy and not really good for the boat.
The cat is not cheating! The cat is going out to work and bring home the bacon (rat). The cat cannot paint so it is going out for food to help feed everyone! Showin Love!
It seems like you got Millenium when she was about to start falling apart! Good thing you could put the reources in to do all the repairs. Good sailing handling systems don't just save the crew work but help keep everyone safer when managing sails, and responding to rapidly changing situations. I'm curious how that monster heavy mainsail can be lowered and handled and secured. The CopperCoat is a very wise move, it should make the gowth maintenance a much more manageable task, improve hull speeds, particularly in light airs, reduce the need for motoring and lower fuel consumption.
Love the channel- but as a 25yr marine tech I can’t fathom why someone would jeopardize their vessel by cutting hole in the hull for lights- most experienced sailors do what they can to reduce the number of failure points that can sink a boat. Add saltwater- dissimilar metals and electricity, the risk to gain ratio is way too lopsided.
Each to their own I suppose, they aren't doing it unpurposfully, it is a dive vessel so maybe the ability to see while diving at night outweighs the risks associated with extra holes. But I agreed not something I would do for the fun of it
So just a question on the copper coat, so the hull is steel, covered in epoxy primer, then coated the hull in epoxy staurated copper flakes, so metal, plastic metal connected to ground (salt water). To me this suggests your hull is going to be above ground potential, this means hull current. I could be wrong but sounds suspect.
I'm not sure if the lights are supposed to be with Sikaflex on CopperCoat. I'm not a professional, but I thought you said the CopperCoat would slowly go away to protect the ship? Could this be a possible leak?
I'm going to say this, the ring that had the 3 screws in it to hold that light in place on your Hull, THEY ARE TERRIBLE!!! They do NOT stay tight, they strip out, and they corrode!! Do NOT seal those off where you can't inspect or service them, and I suggest finding a different style of light.
I recently noticed the return of the site after a long absence and happy to see its return. I know Jordan's departure is now long in the past but just curious Nate if you can tell us what she is up to these days and where she might be? Thanks.
So... I watch a lot of these types of videos and the one question I always come back to is....where does the money come from to make all of this happen?
Except for the places that are banning copper coat. Whoops! High concentrations of copper around marinas are killing aqua life. Honestly, I have no idea what to use for bottom coating anymore. Maybe we have to go back to metal sheets as a boat skin.
Great effort by all.. do your helpers get paid?.. 6 months of grinding is enough to make anyone go crazy especially if they’re working without payment.. just curious
Good to have you back nate, the boat looks awesome, can’t wait for the rest of the adventure!

Such good videography, well done to the team
Yacht looks stunning- a lot of up front blood, sweat and $$$$. Love everyones enthusiasm and can do attitude. With all the references to other channels I realise how far behind yr videos are. Cant wait for expedition to begin.
Looks awesome
Looking forward to more Sailing, Diving, exploring from you.
I’m loving the new series! Thank you!❤
I have enjoyed Tom's singing voice since Parlay Revival..congratulations Tom

Boat is looking awesome! You've done an amazing amount .. I'm sure the video is only showing a small bit .. glad to see it floating! Distinctive colors!
Great video. I'm glad you persevered. Raja Ampat will help wash away boatyard blues.
Thanks for sharing.💙
Yes! Back to diving soon
Happy sailing guys, be safe 😊😊
the boat looks awesome
Brought her back to life, great job. Had a Steel 43’ Ketch. Chase the rust, never stop ! But tough boats.
Lovely to see Nadine in your video. Bernard and Nadine (Nanu) built there first boat next to my boat in Durban South Africa. Many years later I would miss them by 4 days when I arrived in Puerto Williams Chile.
You should def watch the next episode then ;)
good to hear sailor stories come full circle
👋 great stuff enjoying it 😆
Great job, fist fixing all the boat and then drill holes in it so it sinks faster. I never had an understanding for underwater lights, pretty fancy and not really good for the boat.
That should be one of the coolest boats out there though now!!
Great job on the boat - and happy to be watching the channel again . Now just need a decent barber for Nate !!!!!!
😀👍👍❤ "big" sails, indeed!
Looks like a great crew to experience a beautiful boat! did you hit the lottery? 😀
candice ❤❤❤❤
The cat is not cheating! The cat is going out to work and bring home the bacon (rat). The cat cannot paint so it is going out for food to help feed everyone! Showin Love!
I think you did what the builder envisioned!
Thank you we’re pretty proud of her!
Hi Nerea!
It seems like you got Millenium when she was about to start falling apart! Good thing you could put the reources in to do all the repairs. Good sailing handling systems don't just save the crew work but help keep everyone safer when managing sails, and responding to rapidly changing situations. The CopperCoat is a very wise move, it should make the gowth maintenance a much more manageable task, improve hull speeds, particularly in light airs, reduce the need for motoring and lower fuel consumption.
A bit of paint on the hull where you cut the lights be good
Love the channel- but as a 25yr marine tech I can’t fathom why someone would jeopardize their vessel by cutting hole in the hull for lights- most experienced sailors do what they can to reduce the number of failure points that can sink a boat. Add saltwater- dissimilar metals and electricity, the risk to gain ratio is way too lopsided.

10mm steel hull is pretty wild for a sail boat, shes a solid build
So just a question on the copper coat, so the hull is steel, covered in epoxy primer, then coated the hull in epoxy staurated copper flakes, so metal, plastic metal connected to ground (salt water). To me this suggests your hull is going to be above ground potential, this means hull current. I could be wrong but sounds suspect.
Nice project. But I would probably not buy the idea to drill unnecessary holes in my hull just to get fancy lights underwater...
I'm not sure if the lights are supposed to be with Sikaflex on CopperCoat. I'm not a professional, but I thought you said the CopperCoat would slowly go away to protect the ship?
Could this be a possible leak?
Lekker man lekker 🇿🇦
I will sail with you now
I'm going to say this, the ring that had the 3 screws in it to hold that light in place on your Hull, THEY ARE TERRIBLE!!! They do NOT stay tight, they strip out, and they corrode!! Do NOT seal those off where you can't inspect or service them, and I suggest finding a different style of light.
Would you say Copper Coat sticks better to a steel boat ? Metal on Metal ?
I recently noticed the return of the site after a long absence and happy to see its return. I know Jordan's departure is now long in the past but just curious Nate if you can tell us what she is up to these days and where she might be? Thanks.
Last I saw she was sailing with Delos for a while. I believe she is still editing for them and traveling around the world without a boat.
She is definitely not on SV Delos, but I do see she edits at times.
Were you able to get a fair price for the boat?
So you still have Sylfia as well?
Well, atleast your boat can bump into a iceberg safely... Good job guys
Not a chance..
Ha well she’s safer than most. Hope to see the ice one day 🐻❄️
Well done guys, that's one sexy vessel!
I miss your pet pig! The cat face through the hole makes up for it though.
So... I watch a lot of these types of videos and the one question I always come back to is....where does the money come from to make all of this happen?
I do hope that the team are well compensated for working 6 days a week to restore your boat.
3:27 boat hull cat watches you...
Dude...how i can joint to your team, i want be your crew, i work at sea as 3 rd engineer on the barge now, I'm from Indonesia.
Usually I just ask myself how I got here
U are stark raving mad
Because of course all the other antifoulings dont also use copper....
🤠👍
Where’s the other drenched boat: the original?
I sat on a chair for 6 months.
Somebody must be rich
Except for the places that are banning copper coat. Whoops! High concentrations of copper around marinas are killing aqua life. Honestly, I have no idea what to use for bottom coating anymore. Maybe we have to go back to metal sheets as a boat skin.
Who has all the Money?
Tried to watch, couldn't handle the vocal fry.
Enjoyed the video, but too much captain monologue. Let’s see a lot more of the crew and a lot less of the captain…
Hired help, you get what you pay for
Nate: you have so many nice images, show us less of yourself talking and do more voice over
No way, I love his hair!
Yeah. My mind is drawing stink lines on the screen😂
Gawd,,,, all the sailing channels are starting to suck, get the camera out of your face and show something more interesting 🙄
So what was the total money spent on the repair/restoration?
Great effort by all.. do your helpers get paid?.. 6 months of grinding is enough to make anyone go crazy especially if they’re working without payment.. just curious
Really love all your Adventures !
Especially all the underwater Cinematography.
Hope you are are safe , Can’t wait to see what’s next !
