This is just my humble opinion. Lucy has excellent singing style, and her voice is delightful to listen to. Her singing has a lovely quality to it. After that, nothing else has to be said. Nothing more, and nothing less.
Also at a young age, Putri Ariani has a superb singing technique, but more than that, she is able to emit emotions and sentiments that are quite thick and bewitch the listener. The moment I hear Putri sing, time seems to stand still. When Putri sings, the listener is transported by the power of her voice into a fantastical realm where they can find solace in the depth and significance of the song. Putri is not only a phenomenal vocalist, but she also uses her songs to tell fascinating tales. Her performances consistently stun their listeners. Unlike when I listened to Lucy sing, when Putri finished singing I felt like my eyes were wet.
This is just my opinion, once more.
I respect your opinion. We all have different opinions. It's good you have your favourite singer, and great you connect with them and feel. You are tuned into Putri's sound wave and you feel. However your words are the same as how I feel about Lucy - the opposite. So I am tuned into Lucy as you are to Putri. Great there are both singers and we are both happy. Even better for the poster who loves both.

I have to say they both are extremely talented. I think it is a mater of taste. This song in my opinion is a little more suited for Putri. Lucy has a deeper richer tone. You would have to put them together with a lower key and I would say you would see a difference. But both them did a fantastic vocal recording. As far a lot of people are talking about emotions. All I saw in Putri version were still pictures. I don’t understand the emotion part. I call it even.

Of course this is asking for comparison. I don’t care what anybody thinks it’s my ears and my personal taste and that it! Reading all the comments preferring Putri, I must be deaf. But I like being deaf. 🙃 But I’m getting exhausted with every singer being compared to Lucy Thomas. Why is that I wonder? The Lucy supporters don’t care. We love Lucy and are happy. 🙂 I’m not going to be disrespectful to Putri and say Lucy is best, because that would just be my personal opinion. But I will say something which was clear on the video, and probably a big compliment to Putri (maybe). I like what I like, and I prefer a clean voice with clear words and a good tune, so I can sing along etc and enjoy the song. Notice Putri has subtitles because Putri sings like Lady Gaga and Adele and Angelina. Putri fans love her and Lucy supporters love her too, which is great and we are all happy. Some like and enjoy both and others besides - like tea and coffee. No problem, who cares. We all like other singers besides and even a man’s voice or rock song. Besides all this Lucy is the nice, down to earth and hard working young lady, doing charity concerts etc, and loving animals.
