That’s not bad. But I’m very grateful for the way we get paid here at Abf Freight. Every Christmas and Thanksgiving we get to pay days off or we get paid 12 hours per day on top of all our mileage and hourly to work. Our current hourly rate is $30.93 per hour and it’s going up $.75 per year for the next five years. The mileage rate is $.77 a mile and will increase one penny every year. This Thanksgiving I am in Beaver Utah. I ran 425 miles today. And I’m getting my 12 hours holiday pay plus another three hours for wait time. So my total hourly sum is $463.95 my total mileage pay is $327.25. Which brings my total sum and working the holiday to 791.12 I will make much much more day after Thanksgiving tomorrow since I’ll be running closer to 600 miles instead of 425.
Right on that's not bad at all. Since you live where you live there's a lot of people that have a lot of choices down there I'm surprised people don't apply for ABF more often. If I lived down there I'd probably work where you work at.
@@20plustruckingyes I get so many messages on my instagram, Tik Tok and here people thanking me for being open because nobody knows. My pay today came out to 105.50 an hour . My day was complete after 7 1/2 hours!
I work at FedEx Freight. We get Thursday and Friday off for Thanksgiving, paid 8 hours each day at our hourly rate. Also, Christmas. If you volunteer to work, you get your holiday pay and your run pay. Walmart sounds like a great trucking job.
I started driving for Walmart 11/11/24. I have been driving with a trainer for a few weeks. I need to learn how tablet fork. For me, it is new. It is not typical ELD. It is the Privet Fleet Walmart system wich including the HOS.
When in doubt look for the BLUE button. Sleeper button (blue), start trip (blue), depart/arive/end trip (blue button) never end trip outside a dc. Layover, Bluebutton. See the trend? Wanna switch to hos screen? Hit the time. This i can't ever seem to ever get right so I just keep hitting the times and clock till I get there😅
@MrFriday83 isn't there a button that says HOS? I know you can hit the 14-hour DOT up top on the right to pull up your hours that are currently counting down.
@MrFriday83 I try not to ever edit anything if I can help it. The edit portion of the software I believe is a disaster and somebody should fix it. They took something easy and made it hard for what reason I don't know..
True but there's tons of pull aheads and a lot of outside carrier trailers for the Black Friday thing that need to be undocked. I totally get it It's the busiest time of year so we're already bringing in third party carriers to help so it makes sense.
@ I don’t I’m a city driver out of Dayton all we do is Sams in Houston it’s a new job opportunity Walmart put in back in march it got full now , 10 hours a day guaranteed pay even if we seat a day or move 3 loads

I don't work for Walmart, but I've always had Thanksgiving and Christmas off. Even when I worked for companies that scheduled me to come in.

Take care. Thanks for the videos

Enjoy your 18th year brother. Hopefully I can get on with Walmart after I put in 8 more months to make the mark of 30 months Happy Thanksgiving. 🍁
8 months isn't that long to go I'm sure you won't regret it.
😎💯
When it comes to Christmas, that is a one time a year I don’t work and I don’t care which company I’m at. I automatically go home.
@@triforcexxx305 yep I'm the same way now. Luckily I've always gotten Christmas off
Sounds good Sir 👍

@@rubberduckyconvoy2723 It shouldn't take you too long to figure it out. As long as they don't try to upgrade the system and change it on us.

Don since stores are closed they pretty much only deliver GM right. Not sure about Sam’s but would assume they are closed as well. Happy turkey day!

The mega carriers should at least pay Thanksgiving and Christmas they can afford it. This is not old school trucking anymore
