I tried the other loaf cat pattern and it turned out so freaking cute! ❤So excited to make this. I'd love to see a written pattern for Siamese cat or calico cats
I'm so glad you enjoyed the original loaf cat pattern-it must have turned out adorable! This Mini loaf cat is a fun addition, and I’d love to explore patterns inspired by Siamese or calico cats in the future. Hope you have a great time making this one too!
You're very welcome! I'm so happy to hear that you've enjoyed the tutorials and made so many adorable cats already! Thank you for the kind words and support all the way from Germany. Sending lots of love back your way! 🫶
Hi, I followed your TH-cam and made the loaf kitty, and it turned out adorable. Thank you. I plan to make some more to sell at craft market, can I quote the pattern is originally from you in the description?
Hi! Thank you so much for following my tutorial and for your kind words. I'm so glad to hear your loaf kitty turned out adorable! Yes, this pattern is my original design, and I would truly appreciate it if you could mention that the pattern is from 'Fame Art with Poonam' in your description. Wishing you lots of success at the craft market!
Thank you so much! I’m delighted you enjoyed making the Mini loaf cat! For this project, I used a chenille yarn to get that chunky look. Brand of the yarn is NestNHaven. Hope that helps, and happy crocheting!
Will worsted weight yarn work with this pattern? I don’t have time to buy chenille yarn but I have a bunch of different worsted. It’s such a cute pattern and seems fairly simple, I just know my niece will love this.
Thank you for your kind words! Yes, you can absolutely use worsted weight yarn for this pattern. The finished size will be smaller, and the texture will be different compared to chenille yarn, but it will still turn out adorable! Just make sure to adjust your hook size to match the yarn (typically a 3.5mm or 4mm hook works well with worsted weight yarn). I'm sure your niece will love it! Feel free to share your results-I’d love to see how it turns out!
Yes, you can make the Mini loaf cat with size 4 acrylic yarn! The final size may vary depending on the yarn and hook you use, so I recommend using a smaller hook (like 3mm or 3.5mm) to keep the stitches tight and maintain the shape. Let me know if you try it!
I did try it but it was turning out too small so I actually used your large loaf cat tutorial and with the size for yarn and a 3.5 mm hook it turned out to be the size of the mini loaf! He's so cute. ❤. Thank you 😊
Thank you for your question! I cut the color-change yarn because, with chenille yarn, the fibers stay secure even after cutting, so there’s no need to tie it off. When I fill the face and body with fiberfill, the filling presses down on the yarn from the inside, keeping it in place. If I leave the color-change yarn uncut, it can create extra bulk or show through the stitches, which doesn’t look as clean once the piece is stuffed. I also make sure to cut it long enough and in the middle, which helps keep it secure as well.
The large loaf cat and the mini loaf cat have different patterns. The size adjustments required for each were carefully arranged, so they are not the same tutorial. I designed the mini version specifically to create a smaller, beginner-friendly option while maintaining the charm of the larger loaf cat. Feel free to check out both tutorials for more details!

@shelinarawji2334 Thank you for pointing this out! In Round 4, I worked on the ear formation using the front loops. For each ear, I made double crochet and single crochet stitches in one stitch, which resulted in 26 stitches by the end of the round. In Round 5, I worked 1 single crochet in each stitch, including the back loops of the ear formation. Since the ear stitches are only worked in the front loops, Round 5 ends with 24 stitches as expected. I hope this clarifies! Let me know if you have any further questions.
Thank you for such a beginner friendly tutorial!! The speed was perfect and I was easily able to follow along!
Thank you so much for your lovely feedback! I'm so happy to hear you found the tutorial beginner-friendly and easy to follow.

@@jacrippin1 That’s wonderful! I’m so glad you enjoyed the tutorial and found a way to make it the perfect size. Thank you for sharing!
Just curious why you cut the color change yarn in the back won’t the yarn come loose if you don’t tie them off or why cut them at all?
Thank you for your question! I cut the color-change yarn because, with chenille yarn, the fibers stay secure even after cutting, so there’s no need to tie it off. When I fill the face and body with fiberfill, the filling presses down on the yarn from the inside, keeping it in place.
