Everybody covers this song - it's unquestionably a classic of the 20th century and not surprising that Brad covered it. What surprised me was the impressive way he did so. His voice, though far higher than Leonard Cohen's, expresses the emotion of this song quite well, and the few tweaks he made were just enough to make the song his own, without losing any of the character of the original song. Call me impressed.

What I admire about the vamps is that they put effort and time into making covers like this. This is a quality cover, not the best but it makes the song more relatable for a certain age group. And covers like this allows them to exhibit individual talents, to show everyone that they have something to offer other than looks. I have so much respect for them and I hope that they just keep evolving for the betterment and maturity of their music without going astray. No tattoos up to now, their image is very clean and I think they are the same in real life, not just for show. They know a lot of youngsters look up to them. And they seem responsible enough, deserves, and have the worth to be looked up to. Unlike some bands and wannabe bands out there that are not only untalented but are also douches and assholes. What I expect for the vamps though is to break away from the machine and make their own music, since some songs in their first album, albeit being quite catchy, are a bit naughty, and some have negative messages. It would be nice to feel and hear emotions through lyrics and the way they will perform their next songs, see what their passion can lead them to.

I have watched just about every cover of this song available on TH-cam. Some of the singers had powerful and impeccable voices, and others were just terrible, ...but every single one of them had missed the point of the song.
I don't know, but the minute this young boy started singing, I had to keep listening.
He may just have the best cover of this particular song that I thought only Jeff Buckley if not for Cohen himself could deliver.
