Kakashi vs obito is easily hands down best hand to hand 1v1 fight. The choreography, the ost, the emotional weight, setting... everything was set perfectly.
Based solely on choreography alone, there is one in Boruto ep 217, that trumps it, but this fight also has more to it in the story, flashbacks and emotion

On top of that obito using kakashi's hand for fireball Jutsu and then Kakashi hiding his clone under surface for diversion makes it more unique and smart.
The best part about that “Flying Raijin marks never disappear” bit is that it’s actually set up when Minato arrived on the battlefield. He was able to teleport the Ten Tails’ giant Bijuu Bomb because it was touching the mark he put on one of B’s tentacles in the flashback where he fought with the Raikage
The War Arc has so many epic moments. 🔥 I love how this arc really goes all out and everything we have know so far connects altogether. This episode had it all music, choreography, fast pace, sadness, plot twists…
Finally! 2 legendary Kamui wielding duo clashing for the last time with all the flashbacks and that epic music playing in the background was such a tragically beautiful fight. That scene when Obito pulling his younger self back before stabbing each other was such an impactful heartbreaking moment. Definitely one of my top favorite moments in the whole series hands down.
16:50 That was a genjutsu in that episode. You missed a part where he used his sharingan right before that. Hashirama cells sure amplified his healing abilities, but they cant heal the freaking hole in the chest.
To those who didn't know why Madara didn't become the Ten tails jinchuriki is because the curse mark that was placed in Obito's heart(by Madara when he saved him when he was young) was removed by Kakashi's Lightning blade. I believe that obito intended to fight kakashi w/ him getting beaten intentionally. You can also watch again where Madara said after the transformation/jutsu that "it failed" because Obito was able to reverse the jutsu making him the ten tails jinchuriki. What a smart lad.
I love how Kakashi got a good fight here, even if Obito was holding back, and I loved the straight-up hands, no talking approach to it. The somber music is a nice touch and is why I think the anime does so many scenes better than the manga because of the tools they have available to them.
For me, this is the best episode of Naruto Shippuden, i know many episodes are very good here and there, but this episode is well animated and have a lot of goated scenes

One of the top 5 episodes in Shippuden right here. On the same level with 322 and 345 in this arc. Not only the fight itself, which is amazing in terms of direction, choreography and animation. But the events which are unfolds later. Top tier stuff.

Them choosing a sad and slow song for this fight made it feel so different. And if you would incoorperate flashbacks in scences like this ... then barely anyone would mind them. This was just masterfully done.
The fight isn't supposed to be hyped. The music lets you know it's supposed to b sad and painful. Kakashi didn't want this fight but knew he had to. I never noticed the last hits are the kid versions inside the kamui space.
Well he survived a chidori through the chest and Minatos flying rajin kunai hit which like sliced open his whole front side... his healing is pretty OP

I don't know whose idea was it to have present Obito push back past Obito when he was trying to hold Kakashi's hand but it was both genius and heart wrenching. This has always been my favorite fight in the whole show.
16:52 that was a genjutsu. if you see the episode again there was a point obito casted in on kakashi. just after they arrived in the kamui dimension(ep 371 i think) and kakashi tried to immediately attack obito with chidori. just before he told kakashi that he knew what happened to rin theres a scene where he casted the genjutsu. all those interactions up until kakashi said 'enough with the genjutsu' is in a genjutsu
its funny, every arc you will see people saying "that's the peak, its all downhill from here", only to the very next arc have someone say that, and it keeps happening until the series literaly ends. naruto is just insanely good when you think about it.

Obito was injured because he can't pass through Kakashi's raikiri since they are inside his time-space dimension where he is vulnerable. If the raikiri passes through, that part of Obito would have been in the outer world which does not make sense...
Obito willfully let Kakashi pierce his heart with the Raikiri in order to break Madara's seal, so that he could finally become the Ten-Tails Jinchūriki.
I think the Obito vs Kakashi fight is the best animated fight in Naruto, including Boruto. It's also one of my favs in all of anime and I'm not exactly a big fan of the Naruto series but I do like it and one of the better mainstream Shonen.
Its crazy to think that, the 2nd half of the episode was just Obito clinging onto life, while simultaneously fighting for control over his own body to counter Madara's Rinne-rebirth jutsu, while also performing a sealing jutsu to turn himself into the 10-Tails jinchuriki... all without even having a heart in his body. Obito's willpower is insane and Hashirama cells are truly undefeated.
So broken. The most broken fact is that Obito constantly spams base Mangekyo without any side effects whatsoever because of Hashirama cells. Sasuke started going blind after literally one fight with Killer Bee.
That last scene of minato and obito when minato sees obito's face as the same man who caused his misery and pain , that shock , that look in both their eyes , that obito's "sensei " ... This ep is magnificent in every front fr 🔥 ... . One of the best eps I ever saw ( when it came out , I watched it 3 times in a row nonstop 😂 )

Sometime in praising of Itachi, Minato and Madara for their plans we forget that this guy made fool out whole ninja world and even planned to make fool of Madara even after Black Zetsu bring around him all that time. Now i can say that Obito is one few ppl that can underestimate so called Will of Madara. And damn they did Minato really dirty in this full of Uchiha, Senjus and Reincarnation biased series. Funny thing is how he actually managed to make Black Zetsu change his plans because he never wanted to resurrect Madara. It forced Zetsu to bring Madara back through edo tensei by providing Kabuto with his DNA... and even with Madara being "alive", Obito STILL managed to outplay him by becoming Juubi's jinchuuriki. And yeah, he made his "fight" with Kakashi look good, that's for sure - though I bet he had to because he didn't want Kakashi to suspect anything. In fact he made it look so good that Kakashi fanboys actually think Kakashi won...

The reason obito could walk into the kakashis lightning blade last episode is because he was using genjutsu so it was fake. He wanted to talk to Kakashi about him not having a heart (metaphorically) even though he physically actually does have a heart
The connection between madras and obito is that they have both senju and uchiha chakra running thru them so what ever Madara could do obito could do. Both have the rinnigan. That’s all I could say without spoilers. People with the sages bloodlines could do special things that ordinary people can’t do, like Ginkaku and Kinkaku.
orochimaru didn't need to change, he was never someone trying to destroy the world, his only goal in life is to understand ALL THINGS, he simply wants omniscience, his parents died and after that, than after tsunade's brothers death it even pushed him further, his only goal in life is to understand why people have to die, and it kind of implies he is also trying to find a way to prevent all death

This is a legendary episode. When it comes to hand to hand combat this is probably the best fight in the entire series hand to hand wise

The connection between madras and obito is that they have both senju and uchiha chakra running thru them so what ever Madara could do obito could do. Both have the rinnigan. That’s all I could say without spoilers. People with the sages bloodlines could do special things that ordinary people can’t do, like Ginkaku and Kinkaku.
