    Would you recommend adding something like this to the FAST exam is high risk patients?

      Yes! In fact, this is part of what is called the RUSH (Rapid Ultrasound for Shock and Hypotension) exam, which you can think of as a modified FAST for the patient with undifferentiated shock. Here's a detailed blog post from EMCrit: emcrit.org/rush-exam/original-rush-article/

    What kind of symptoms would be present with a AAA that’s going to rupture? Would the belly button protrude and be sensitive to touch? Could you have a bulge in the groin where an inguinal hernia would be located, be a sign of a AAA?

    Would this be seen on an ultrasound where they look for enlarged spleen?

    Can ultrasounds detect thoracic aneurysms at all?

      TTE...is of somewhat limited value in assessment of the distal ascending, transverse, and descending aorta (stoelting’s co-existing disease and anesthesia 7th edition)
