  • Your host, Mike Avaylon, teams up together with Dr. Ron Fleck and Pastor Hector Torres in this four part series to take you on an epic journey to research the antiquity of the Waldenses in North-Western Italy, to see if they indeed kept the 7th day Sabbath, and to look at the true facts about the manuscripts behind the pure Bible of the Protestant Reformation of the 16th Century.
    In this documentary film you will feel like you are really in the valleys and mountains of the Waldenses, as Mike takes his cameras to places that most people have never before seen.

    I learned about the reformers while attending an Adventist College in the early 2000s. This documentary revealed that the Waldenses were Sabbath observers. The reformers, including the Waldenses, were briefly mentioned in our Sabbath School Lesson this month, leading me to watch the documentary on the Waldenses. Their unwavering faith until the end moved me emotionally. I wonder if there are any modern-day Waldensians. I aspire to possess the same level of faith as the Waldenses.

      @dana5861 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The book that Ellen White wrote is called The Great Controversy. It is a great book that everyone can benefit from. The book The Great Hope is truncated. „The book opens with the sad closing scenes of Jerusalem's history, the city of God's chosen, after her rejection of the Man of Calvary, who came to save. Thence onward along the great highway of the nations, it points us to the persecutions of God's children in the first centuries; the great apostasy which followed in his church; the world-awakening of the reformation, in which some of the great principles of the controversy are clearly manifest; the awful lesson of the rejection of right principles by France; the revival and exaltation of the Scriptures, and their beneficent, life-saving influence; the religious awakening of the last days; the unsealing of the radiant fountain of God's word, with its wonderful revelations of light and knowledge to meet the baleful upspringing of every delusion of darkness.” GC iii.7

    Then I was shown a company who were howling in agony. On their garments was written in large characters, "Thou art weighed in the balance, and found wanting." I asked who this company were. The angel said, "These are they who once kept the Sabbath, and have given it up." I heard them cry with a loud voice, "We have believed in Thy coming, and taught it with energy." And while they were speaking, their eyes would fall upon their garments and see the writing, and then they would wail aloud. I saw that they had drunk of the deep waters, and fouled the residue with their feet,-trodden the Sabbath underfoot,-and that was why they were weighed in the balance and found wanting. CET 101.1

      No the waldensians were not around after the flood. What 19.03 is referring to I believe is that during the flood the earths surface was radically changed forever. It no longer bore the resemblance of a beautiful perfect world that God declared was "good" after creation as recorded in Genesis. Rocky mountains and crevices were the result of such a cataclysmic event (flood). The rocky mountains became a refuge for God's people the Waldensians who followed the true teachings of the Bible only and preserved the truth.

      P. S. There is a Waldensian museum in North Carolina and one of the tour guides is a descendent of the Waldensians. I was blessed to be led by him on the tour. The Waldenses have apostatized in the US, embracing homosexuality and other such wicked things.
      I asked this man what church he is a member of now and he said Baptist. The reason he said he was a Baptist is that he believed they were the closest to what his ancestors believed.
      Also, the first Baptist church in America split over which day to meet (the 1st or 7th) but still met in the same church building were cordial toward one another, though for conscience sake did not meet on the same day. It’s possible to be convinced about which day to worship without embracing other SDA heresies (such as rejection of an eternal hell, salvation by works: baptismal regeneration, - like Roman Catholics believe - etc.)

      God's great lament is that His people are destroyed because of rejecting knowledge--available truthful information which they do not wish to become acquainted with. They prefer just spreading rumors that they've heard others repeat instead of going to the source and finding the truth.
      FACT: EVERY doctrinal position of the Seventh-day Adventist Church IS from the Holy Bible, the KJV which came from the Textus Receptus or Received Texts which is the most trustworthy of the ancient manuscripts. You may not be able to prove some SDA teachings from the NIV, NASB, EVEN the NKJV, etc. because these have been corrupted in the process of translating to make EASIER for people to read. Under the guise of making the Scriptures easier to 😢read, SOME wittingly or unwittingly changed, ommited or substituted words, phrases clauses that changed the intended meaning of Scripture to make it more ecumenical.
      SDA pioneer and founders, James and Ellen White, Joseph Bates, Hiram Edson, OR.L.Crosier, Loughborough and others through MUCH PRAYER and AGONIZING STUDY to find truth came up with the doctrinal beliefs FROM the BIBLE. Some of these were already believed and help by other denominational churches. They retained these. Others were received such as the Seventh-day Sabbath keeping from the witness of the Seventh-day Baptists who discovered it in Scripture. After studying it carefully SDA pioneers received it.
      The teaching of the Investigative Judgment came out of a deep study of the Sanctuary teachings of the Day of Atonement in Leviticus 16 etc. That teaching was the key that unlocked the mysteries of the Great Disappointment and give insights to the troubling questions like: what happens when a person dies? What is the true Sabbath day and does it matter? What about prophesy and the Prophetic gift? Does it matter that we care for our bodies and how are we to care for our bodies? And most importantly IS God's Holy Ten Commandments Law still valid and binding upon the Christian today? SDA answer ALL of these questions from the Bible and the Bible only.
      In working out these doctrinal issues Sis.White's gift of prophesy functioned to verify that they conclusions arrived at through study were correct. Later she continued to receive more and more information to help the Church in understanding of how to practice these teachings in the life.
      I Praise God for the prophetic Pen. It has made so much difference in my life and in the life of millions of others who receive(d)of its wisdom. Those who reject it do so to their great loss. It is wonderful fruit. Eat and be satisfied.

      @@lukecampbell2773 Hi Like. Do you know that the teaching of an eternally burning hell is a pagan teaching and not at all biblical? It was adopted by the Roman Catholic Church when Christianity and Paganism merged back in the fourth Century under Emperor Constantine. (The same as other teachings like Sunday sacredness, Easter, Christmas, Halloween, and other holidays.)
      Infant baptism, the Mass, immediate reward upon death--hell or heaven, which negates the resurrection, which is clearly taught in the Bible, and many others are borrowed by the Baptists and other Protestant churches from the self proclaimed Mother Church. In observing Sunday as the Sabbath, you and your church is following the Mother Church rather than Jesus who is Lord of the Sabbath and your professed Saviour and Lord.
      Think about it, carefully and prayerfully and study it out too from the Bible. Using your Concordance,, FIND THE SUBJECT which you choose to study. Eg. Sabbath. Look up each time it is used from Genesis to Revelation. As you study you will find that the Sabbath has always been the seventh day. Sunday is a man-made substitute without God's sanction.

    There have always been faithful Evangelical assemblies of baptised believers in every age and generation however small and spread apart. These bodies remained apart from the growing apostacy and drift away from genuine new covenant Christianity. Ephesians 3:21 Matthew 16:18 assure us of this! The Assembly of God was never conceived of as a universal invisible body of believers scatterd about in a corrupted church. It was a universal institution but it was always an organized visible particular assembly of properly baptised disciples who met and gathered together regularly to hear the word of God to have Christian fellowship, prayer, celebrate the Lords supper and to be the light of the gospel to the society around them. See Revelation chapters 2 and 3. All visible independant particular assemblies of believers answerable to no one other than the risen Lord and to the members of that body responsible to do their fathers will in Christ as His redeemed children.
