@@TDWonderer i think him getting emotions partway through made him a unique antagonist who actually recognises that what he’s doing is wrong on some level. That rarely ever happens with main antagonists in this show.
yeah honestly i've never been a big fan of him but writing him for this season came really naturally and I think he bounces off others really well while also having many options for the direction of character growth
Maybe Heather is a more "cartoony" villain and would've worked better on Cartoon Network for us as kids but this write of Noah is sooo fleshed out and just by reading all of this you can see how conflicted and complex he is. His relationships with Izzy and DJ were amazing, I was very invested. This also gave many many characters some well deserved spotlight moments, especially Izzy, Lindsay, Ezekiel and Bridgette and I think the episode where she makes a plan to grant all the girls immunity but Ezekiel got eliminated as a result would have been the best in the show, it was so tense, really showed her off as a good person, still her "best case scenario" led to one of her closest friends being eliminated and the interactions were so so interesting. It also made more sense than the original as the original having only Heather as a villain led to inexplicable elimination ceremonies where she should have left, but in this case with so many morally grey characters, shaky relationships and alliances it all lines up perfectly.10/10 awesome video :))

Noah was a pretty good antagonist. In this video, he’s a type if antagonist not seen in Total Drama, where he actually feels bad for most of the people he votes off and does lots of alliance shifting.
Two interesting things going into TDA in this universe. 1. Courtney hasn't hooked up with Duncan, nor has she meaningfully interacted with any of the cast (outside of what you would assume happened on the Playa Des Losers) She would still return since that just hinged on her having lawyers, but now she would be a stickler for the rules, and there wouldn't be any tension or bias between her and Duncan 2. Owen doesn't have a reason to be a saboteur. The reason he comes back mid-season is because his parents went into debt after buying him a cheese cellar thinking he won the million dollars, and Chris promised Owen $50,000 if he comes back. Since Owen never won island, his parents wouldn't buy the cellar. Most of the season would go mostly unchanged since the characters that had the most change either don't appear or are just derailed in a way unrelated to island (Geoff and Bridgette/Trent and Gwen), so if you wanted to do a part 3, it would probably be easy(er) to write since Courtney doesn't appear till half way though the season and Owen wasn't supposed to return until the last 5 episodes.
Theoretically he could change action’s cast to reflect the changes in Island Also Courtney getting back on the show didn’t just hinge on her having lawyers. She specifically mentioned what kind of lawsuit it was, and it seems to be based around the fact that Harold cheated to get her eliminated.
That is true and with this timelines version being a fair vote means she has no case. She was at the bottom two in episode 1 for a reason. This timelines version of the island special would need to go different for her to have a spot in Action. Otherwise she’d have to wait for world tour.
This was a really interesting scenario! And the merge was especially fluid! Noah and Trent joining the guys alliance only for Bridgette to come up with a brilliant strategy of getting all the girls immunity and then Noah causing DJ to flip all to get out Ezekiel?! Probably my favorite round. Noah’s relationships with Izzy and DJ were well explored too. Bridgette getting the Leshawna spot feels apt. And Geoff assuming Owen’s endgame role also feels spot on. This was a really good season! And I understand what you mean about the seeming lack of villain, but I think there were enough interesting relationships and storylines happening that it still turned out to be a good season even without a overly villainous antagonist.

This was a really great rewrite. Noah as a strategic antagonist was fantastic. It’s interesting seeing an antagonist that isn’t outright evil, just kind of a shrewd player. It would be interesting to see if his development toward caring about people and reluctant friendships would’ve continued assuming he got into action. Plus the development of Zeke and his friendship with Bridgette was amazing. I love the sibling relationship here. I just finished bingeing your rewrite videos and they are all so well thought-out. I’m glad your videos were recommended to me!
This was a pretty interesting What if, I do like the overall season. The Antagonist problem is interesting, in terms of the show it wouldn't have been as successful as it was irl cos Heather as a villain was a big selling point, but I think for an overall story with multiple seasons it would have been possibly more satisfying, have Heather more set up in Action as the main villain vs Courtney instead of Justin.
yeah Heather is the most iconic villain, maybe in the entire show but is also the most flawed villain considering that like half of Islands episode result in Heather avoiding elimination by plot armor. I definitely think when she comes back in Action she would play a much better game as she realized her attitude got her eliminated and would play more sneaky game to avoid getting attention.

I absolutely loved this what if! The things you did with Bridgette, Ezekiel & Noah were really interesting & enjoyable. Of course, I might be a little biased since Noah's my favorite character, but I really liked how you sorta made him take Heather's place but not even be full blown "evil" or manipulative. It kinda reminds me of Schaffrillas Productions video on how Noah could be a villain. The friendships here are also really cool, like Zeke's friendships with Bridgette & Duncan & Noah's friendships with DJ & Gwen. Noah & Gwen are my two favorites & I've always thought that they were somewhat alike & thought they'd be a fun duo so you making them a pair made me really excited lol. Noah's rivalry with Izzy was also pretty interesting & shows how Izzy isn't 100% crazy & is actually pretty smart. Overall this was very enjoyable & well-written! I hope this what if gets the attention it deserves.
Seeing as Noah is my favourite character I loved this What If? mostly because it gave Noah screentime before World Tour, regardless of that, this was one of my favourite videos by far and I can't wait for the next one.
You should make a continuation of this into Action and World Tour because I don't think this version of Ezekiel would have gotten himself eliminated first in World Tour. Also, the dynamics would be super different because of the stuff that happened in this version. It'd be so fun to see unfold.
You gotta give yourself more credit, these are really fun videos for us TD superfans! I feel like each video is really objective and manages to create an interesting storyline with a lot of my favs making it deep, even here where Courtney was sadly the first boot. I hope to see more from you ! ;)
This was another enjoyable one! I love how you managed to develop Ezekiel without making him a different person. I feel like too many what-ifs/fanfictions stray really far from what he's actually like in order to make him a more likable person but that usually has the side-effect of making him boring and/or feel like a completely different character so I'm really glad you didn't take that route. I also enjoyed Noah as the villain! It's fun that you actually got to take advantage of his label (the Schemer) unlike the actual show. The plurality votes to eliminate Dj and Izzy were also really clever and I'm glad you actually got to show off his intelligence rather than just telling us that he's smart and good at the game. It was a nice change of pace having a much more low-key antagonist for Island this time. It was also nice having the game feel much more like a game and having more alliances form and dissolve than in canon. Overall a very fun what-if! :D Edit: WAIT! I almost forgot to talk about Bridgette here. Loved her! Especially her strategy to get all the girls immunity during the hide and seek challenge. Ingenious! If this were canon, I just know people would be complaining for years about how she was robbed just like they do for Leshawna lol.
If you think about it, Noah's weakness in this is sort of a platonic version of Alejandro's weakness; they both have something to do with relationships with others (world tour finale where Alejandro confesses to Heather and loses because of that (in the ending that I watched) and in this, Noah protecting DJ and making the sort of decisions that would get him eliminated), and they're both smart and complex characters, especially when put in an antagonistic position. Also tysm for giving Noah an actual role, he's my fav character and I think he has soo much wasted potential

This comment is 4 months old but if Bridgette & Geoff were focused on the game I think they'd be the team leaders instead of Trent and Gwen, but it'd be a more competitive/fun rivalry rather than a rivalry filled with jealousy. A more healthy competition, if you will. It does make deciding who goes in the first episode harder but I suspect that if there was no Geoff & Bridgette kissing then Chris would've assigned teams after Monster Cash and had Alien Resur-eggtion be a single elimination round. Most likely scenario is that Katie & Sadie return to Action to be the first boots of the season and then Geoff and Bridgette pick teams in Riot on Set. My predicted teams are Gaffers: Bridgette, DJ, Gwen, Duncan, Leshawna, Harold, Heather Grips: Geoff, Lindsay, Justin, Beth, Trent, Izzy, Owen So yeah those teams are the same but I don't think much would change in that scenario.
Ezekiel here in a nutshell: Duncan: *Chaotic older brother* Bridgett: *Nice older sister.* Ezekiel: just Ezekiel but 10x better and like a little brother.
Your videos always impress me so much. You take so much time and effort to make sure your decisions make sense with the characters and also make a good story. I don't think I could have made a two part what if just based off Ezekiel not being sexist and made it this interesting!
I think you should continue this series into Total Drama Action. In the original show, they just took the top 16 contestants, minus Eva and Sadie, and added Justin. You could do the same, and it still fits well, the only differences being that Noah and Ezekiel are contestants instead of Heather and Courtney. I’d love to see how they’d react to the various genre-themed challenges.
Similar to this I would like to see What If Heather didn't have MASSIVE plot armor for Island? I think she would be voted out either in the exact same challenge you took her or in the one where they actually voted for Beth instead in canon. Idk seems to me like the actually realistic time to vote her out, after that she started gaining more and more immiunity or being saved by plot-realted stuff, the worst offender being the Leshawna elimination of course, which could be another scenario for this What If? although that would make a rather short video since it leaves only two or three episodes to work with, still it would be interesting to see who wins in that case.
I think you made Noah work as an antagonist. His original summary for Camp TV referred to him as a scammer. And this was the most realistic way that would play out while still being true to Noah’s character. And this version of Ezekiel works. It truly feels like an alternate timeline
I love when people remember that Noah's title is "The Schemer", something TDI didn't. So making him an antagonist who actually just tries to win through strategic plays and plans, like Bowie from the 2023 series, is what I wish the original show did, cause Noah is one of the best characters on the show.

If you get burnout or want to explore more What Ifs, that is completely fine since you are shown to be not only competent, but quite skilled in writing; however, further looking into this specific what if starting at Action would be REALLY interesting, especially since you foreshadowed Heather’s role as an antagonist in Action. I feel like you could do a thing in I Triple Dog Dare You! where you have Noah realize that maybe he isn’t deserving of winning due to how wishy washy he was with his friends, have him realize that he could do better with people and stuff, give him some redemption.
According to the wiki, Both Ezekiel & Noah have a crush on Bridgette which would be interesting to flesh out if you do Action & World Tour. Also Bridgette was robbed. 😂 Hope she can be a finalist in another season but it was quite obvious that Bridgette would take Leshawna place when Leshawna got eliminated. Like I even did a Total Drama Island My Way and Bridgette also got eliminated in the same place. Finally, what do you plan to do with Heather & Courtney & I had the idea that you could add Blaineley to your action like she gets eliminated a few episodes after Heather because she caused Heather's downfall but everyone turned on her after that.

i actually think noah not being super evil helps the plot, and heather being openly very mean is why so many of her elimination survivals feel rigged. it also makes heather look stupid when she's telling lindsay to find her own immunity in search & do not destroy. her meanness surpasses her strategic ability and i don't really like that. noah in this what if was just heather but better imo
18:10 Slight correction: if Bridgette voted for anyone else (let's say duncan) then the vote could be 5 for Ezekiel, 4 for Noah and 1 from Bridgette therefore its not deducible that DJ voted for Zeke (You could argue Bridgette would vote Noah if she genuinely wanted to save Ezekiel, however if that were true she could've asked Lindsay to do so, meaning the vote would be 5:5, so to me Bridgette would just prefer to abstain by throwing a random vote to not have blood on her hands for Zeke's elimination) Also love your vids btw
This was so great! I especially loved the dynamics between Duncan, Ezekiel, and Bridgette and the hide and seek episode was probably the biggest highlight of this scenario! Tbh I'd love to see the Action and World Tour seasons following this continuity and how the interactions and dynamics would change!

yeah accepting that she going to be eliminated in her elimination episode was rough, obviously I try not to have favorites because I feel like that skews the point of a What if which is that im supposed to go with the flow of what will happen (and obviously I did by eliminating Bridgette) but I definitely hoped that she would make it to the finale while writing the season.

I guess looking back at this video I kinda forgot to further explain that, I think it would be less of a Gwen wanting to, as much as Duncan would be convincing her because Geoff is too likable and this was the episode where Gwen and Geoff bonded, so Gwen would agree with Duncan that Geoff is likable and realize that he does have to go. plus since both Bridgette and Geoff are here Gwen would agree that one of them has to go since they are a strong power couple that dangerous to make any further and since Bridgette won invincibility, that only leaves Geoff
Also Izzy and Noah have a good odd friendship. I don’t think Izzy would hold a grudge for that long. Nor would she be upset that Noah eliminated DJ later.

Your commitment to the desire to _have_ a villain I think led to you fairly blatantly mischaracterizing Noah and tangentially, a few other characters I feel like Izzy is an agent of chaos and thus, effectively has allegiance to no one. Because of this, I don't think she'd have any role in influencing an arc in ANY of the remaining cast, let alone someone as headstrong as Noah. More notably though, I realistically believe Noah would be unlikely to get further than Zeke at this phase. The two are both incredibly similar in terms of skill-set with most _direct_ comparisons slightly favoring Noah, but I feel there are other factors that uniquely benefit Zeke. While promotional material labels Noah as a schemer, I really don't think he'd be able (or even care enough) to accomplish a large chunk of what you described. I feel like Noah's intelligence/wit would be a bit offset by his sarcasm/apathy. I feel like this would eventually lead to either a challenge Noah wouldn't care about enough to complete, his attitude making him the center of either conflict or general annoyance, or even just getting voted out due to Zeke being more useful long-term. After Eva's elimination, I feel the only remaining contestants with the capability to _shape_ the narrative are Leshawna, Bridgette, Duncan, and maybe Gwen/Jeff if the others got eliminated. Even though Noah _could_ instigate an alliance with 1-2 people, I simply don't think he has the charisma or willpower to properly influence the narrative. Zeke, on the other hand is in a much more interesting pace. He would be a much more reliable resource since his lack of social skills uniquely serves him in being low-profile, low-threat, but fairly neutral alliance-potential for almost every contestant in the game. Even if he _did_ hit if off with someone like Bridgette or Duncan, I think he would still be fair susceptible to being swayed away from previous partnerships with the right conversation. So if your first video was accurate in saying he'd make it to merge, I feel as though - challenge performance excluding - he would almost certainly make it to the mid-late stages of this merge.

Unrelated but I remember awhile back (not sure if it’s legit) but the creators were hinting at Noah being a threat by the way they wrote him but they just scrapped the idea. Like in his bio I’m pretty sure he was written as strategic. Noah is so underrated 😭 I’m glad they brought him back for ridonculous.

The Antagonist problem is interesting, in terms of the show it wouldn't have been as successful as it was irl cos Heather as a villain was a big selling point, but I think for an overall story with multiple seasons it would have been possibly more satisfying, have Heather more set up in Action as the main villain vs Courtney instead of Justin.
yeah Heather is the most iconic villain, maybe in the entire show but is also the most flawed villain considering that like half of Islands episode result in Heather avoiding elimination by plot armor. I definitely think when she comes back in Action she would play a much better game as she realized her attitude got her eliminated and would play more sneaky game to avoid getting attention.

I absolutely loved this what if! The things you did with Bridgette, Ezekiel & Noah were really interesting & enjoyable. Of course, I might be a little biased since Noah's my favorite character, but I really liked how you sorta made him take Heather's place but not even be full blown "evil" or manipulative. It kinda reminds me of Schaffrillas Productions video on how Noah could be a villain. The friendships here are also really cool, like Zeke's friendships with Bridgette & Duncan & Noah's friendships with DJ & Gwen. Noah & Gwen are my two favorites & I've always thought that they were somewhat alike & thought they'd be a fun duo so you making them a pair made me really excited lol. Noah's rivalry with Izzy was also pretty interesting & shows how Izzy isn't 100% crazy & is actually pretty smart. Overall this was very enjoyable & well-written! I hope this what if gets the attention it deserves.
I absolutely adored how you used Noah's "Scemer" personality. He definitely got robbed lol. I am a little biased though.
Seeing as Noah is my favourite character I loved this What If? mostly because it gave Noah screentime before World Tour, regardless of that, this was one of my favourite videos by far and I can't wait for the next one.

It’s crazy how one mistake benifited a lot of characters
This was another enjoyable one! I love how you managed to develop Ezekiel without making him a different person. I feel like too many what-ifs/fanfictions stray really far from what he's actually like in order to make him a more likable person but that usually has the side-effect of making him boring and/or feel like a completely different character so I'm really glad you didn't take that route. I also enjoyed Noah as the villain! It's fun that you actually got to take advantage of his label (the Schemer) unlike the actual show. The plurality votes to eliminate Dj and Izzy were also really clever and I'm glad you actually got to show off his intelligence rather than just telling us that he's smart and good at the game. It was a nice change of pace having a much more low-key antagonist for Island this time. It was also nice having the game feel much more like a game and having more alliances form and dissolve than in canon. Overall a very fun what-if! :D
Edit: WAIT! I almost forgot to talk about Bridgette here. Loved her! Especially her strategy to get all the girls immunity during the hide and seek challenge. Ingenious! If this were canon, I just know people would be complaining for years about how she was robbed just like they do for Leshawna lol.
If you think about it, Noah's weakness in this is sort of a platonic version of Alejandro's weakness; they both have something to do with relationships with others (world tour finale where Alejandro confesses to Heather and loses because of that (in the ending that I watched) and in this, Noah protecting DJ and making the sort of decisions that would get him eliminated), and they're both smart and complex characters, especially when put in an antagonistic position. Also tysm for giving Noah an actual role, he's my fav character and I think he has soo much wasted potential

This comment is 4 months old but if Bridgette & Geoff were focused on the game I think they'd be the team leaders instead of Trent and Gwen, but it'd be a more competitive/fun rivalry rather than a rivalry filled with jealousy. A more healthy competition, if you will. It does make deciding who goes in the first episode harder but I suspect that if there was no Geoff & Bridgette kissing then Chris would've assigned teams after Monster Cash and had Alien Resur-eggtion be a single elimination round. Most likely scenario is that Katie & Sadie return to Action to be the first boots of the season and then Geoff and Bridgette pick teams in Riot on Set.
My predicted teams are
Gaffers: Bridgette, DJ, Gwen, Duncan, Leshawna, Harold, Heather
Grips: Geoff, Lindsay, Justin, Beth, Trent, Izzy, Owen
So yeah those teams are the same but I don't think much would change in that scenario.
this second part was really entertaining, I like all the set up all you did and it was enjoyable to see it all pay off.
I really liked this What If and specially how Bridgette changed, it would be great if you continued it with the other seasons

Your videos always impress me so much. You take so much time and effort to make sure your decisions make sense with the characters and also make a good story. I don't think I could have made a two part what if just based off Ezekiel not being sexist and made it this interesting!

I think you should continue this series into Total Drama Action. In the original show, they just took the top 16 contestants, minus Eva and Sadie, and added Justin. You could do the same, and it still fits well, the only differences being that Noah and Ezekiel are contestants instead of Heather and Courtney. I’d love to see how they’d react to the various genre-themed challenges.
Similar to this I would like to see What If Heather didn't have MASSIVE plot armor for Island? I think she would be voted out either in the exact same challenge you took her or in the one where they actually voted for Beth instead in canon. Idk seems to me like the actually realistic time to vote her out, after that she started gaining more and more immiunity or being saved by plot-realted stuff, the worst offender being the Leshawna elimination of course, which could be another scenario for this What If? although that would make a rather short video since it leaves only two or three episodes to work with, still it would be interesting to see who wins in that case.

I think you made Noah work as an antagonist. His original summary for Camp TV referred to him as a scammer. And this was the most realistic way that would play out while still being true to Noah’s character. And this version of Ezekiel works. It truly feels like an alternate timeline

I love when people remember that Noah's title is "The Schemer", something TDI didn't. So making him an antagonist who actually just tries to win through strategic plays and plans, like Bowie from the 2023 series, is what I wish the original show did, cause Noah is one of the best characters on the show.

I feel like you could do a thing in I Triple Dog Dare You! where you have Noah realize that maybe he isn’t deserving of winning due to how wishy washy he was with his friends, have him realize that he could do better with people and stuff, give him some redemption.

According to the wiki, Both Ezekiel & Noah have a crush on Bridgette which would be interesting to flesh out if you do Action & World Tour. Also Bridgette was robbed. 😂 Hope she can be a finalist in another season but it was quite obvious that Bridgette would take Leshawna place when Leshawna got eliminated. Like I even did a Total Drama Island My Way and Bridgette also got eliminated in the same place. Finally, what do you plan to do with Heather & Courtney & I had the idea that you could add Blaineley to your action like she gets eliminated a few episodes after Heather because she caused Heather's downfall but everyone turned on her after that.

i actually think noah not being super evil helps the plot, and heather being openly very mean is why so many of her elimination survivals feel rigged. it also makes heather look stupid when she's telling lindsay to find her own immunity in search & do not destroy. her meanness surpasses her strategic ability and i don't really like that. noah in this what if was just heather but better imo
I feel like the stigma on quiet/awkward kids would've been flipped years ago if this was how Ezekiel was written to begin with
18:10 Slight correction: if Bridgette voted for anyone else (let's say duncan) then the vote could be 5 for Ezekiel, 4 for Noah and 1 from Bridgette therefore its not deducible that DJ voted for Zeke (You could argue Bridgette would vote Noah if she genuinely wanted to save Ezekiel, however if that were true she could've asked Lindsay to do so, meaning the vote would be 5:5, so to me Bridgette would just prefer to abstain by throwing a random vote to not have blood on her hands for Zeke's elimination)

yeah accepting that she going to be eliminated in her elimination episode was rough, obviously I try not to have favorites because I feel like that skews the point of a What if which is that im supposed to go with the flow of what will happen (and obviously I did by eliminating Bridgette) but I definitely hoped that she would make it to the finale while writing the season.

I guess looking back at this video I kinda forgot to further explain that, I think it would be less of a Gwen wanting to, as much as Duncan would be convincing her because Geoff is too likable and this was the episode where Gwen and Geoff bonded, so Gwen would agree with Duncan that Geoff is likable and realize that he does have to go.
plus since both Bridgette and Geoff are here Gwen would agree that one of them has to go since they are a strong power couple that dangerous to make any further and since Bridgette won invincibility, that only leaves Geoff
Also Izzy and Noah have a good odd friendship. I don’t think Izzy would hold a grudge for that long. Nor would she be upset that Noah eliminated DJ later.

It's never stated that he's amazing at bike riding, just that he's good at making bikes. Meanwhile, Lindsay did really well originally, and since Heather isn't there, she would do even better.

Your commitment to the desire to _have_ a villain I think led to you fairly blatantly mischaracterizing Noah and tangentially, a few other characters
I feel like Izzy is an agent of chaos and thus, effectively has allegiance to no one. Because of this, I don't think she'd have any role in influencing an arc in ANY of the remaining cast, let alone someone as headstrong as Noah. More notably though, I realistically believe Noah would be unlikely to get further than Zeke at this phase. The two are both incredibly similar in terms of skill-set with most _direct_ comparisons slightly favoring Noah, but I feel there are other factors that uniquely benefit Zeke.
While promotional material labels Noah as a schemer, I really don't think he'd be able (or even care enough) to accomplish a large chunk of what you described. I feel like Noah's intelligence/wit would be a bit offset by his sarcasm/apathy. I feel like this would eventually lead to either a challenge Noah wouldn't care about enough to complete, his attitude making him the center of either conflict or general annoyance, or even just getting voted out due to Zeke being more useful long-term.
After Eva's elimination, I feel the only remaining contestants with the capability to _shape_ the narrative are Leshawna, Bridgette, Duncan, and maybe Gwen/Jeff if the others got eliminated. Even though Noah _could_ instigate an alliance with 1-2 people, I simply don't think he has the charisma or willpower to properly influence the narrative. Zeke, on the other hand is in a much more interesting pace.
He would be a much more reliable resource since his lack of social skills uniquely serves him in being low-profile, low-threat, but fairly neutral alliance-potential for almost every contestant in the game. Even if he _did_ hit if off with someone like Bridgette or Duncan, I think he would still be fair susceptible to being swayed away from previous partnerships with the right conversation. So if your first video was accurate in saying he'd make it to merge, I feel as though - challenge performance excluding - he would almost certainly make it to the mid-late stages of this merge.

Like in his bio I’m pretty sure he was written as strategic. Noah is so underrated 😭 I’m glad they brought him back for ridonculous.
