Im Zusammenhang mit diesem norwegischen Musiker kann man einiges festhalten. Erstens: Freie Tage im Kalender mag Ingvald Vassbø eher nicht. Wenn er als Drummer und Kreativkopf nicht mit Full Earth zugange ist, kommt eine andere Formation dran.
Mit Kanaan hat Vassbø - Erkenntnis Nummer zwei - das Format „Single“ in eine neue Dimension befördert: Der Track „Beyond“ ist fast 28 Minuten lang. Drittens: Kanaan spielen instrumentalen Psychedelic und Space Rock: derbe, kraftvoll, zuweilen spacig wabernd - und oft so, dass die Fuzz-Pedale glühen.
