Fantastic video I'm starting to play cello this week actually I get my rental tomorrow with my first lesson this Saturday. I've been going through your channel and am going to try and follow some of your lessons through the week prior to my first lesson. I have a music background just not in cello so excited to get started. I know I've asked before and I probably sound naggy, but I would really love it if you did a cello cover of "Spontaneous Me" by Lindsey Stirling. I know you get a lot of requests, but I thought I'd ask anyway.

I play mandocello, so the same technique, only with frets and not tape. ;-) This approach is very different from how a guitarist (my first instrument) would approach a scale, but it makes a lot of sense. Can't wait to practice it at home, and share with my mandocello student.

That depends on how many notes are covered by the slur. However many notes are under the arc, including the notes attached to each of its ends, are the amount of notes to be played in one bow direction.

I am practicing for my finals its just hard because I was taught by numbers instead of letters so it makes it difficult in class.. Any suggestions??
