I recently bought a Tupperware container that works like a crisper (necessary when you share a fridge), it works really well and keeps my veggies fresh. Came in a bunch of sizes so would easily work in your mini fridge. Sistema is the brand in Aus, perhaps there's something similar if that brand isn't in the US.
Please please do the "how to choose the van for you" I go over and over on "do I want the 144 or 170"? I am SOOOOO stressed about "do I want my bed on the side or in the back". Great video, SUPER content! AND! Chocolate & cookies, don't skip over those treasures ;)
Thank you for your input David C! but..... I hear a lot of van lifers with the 170 say the extra space is worth it. And THERE is where I struggle. Most of the parking I am doing is outside of towns and cities, other than the grocers or for other supplies and necessities ~those are all parking lots. I drive a bus and its very infrequent I struggle with length (unless someone is parked haphazardly or a map is incorrect, then it's usually just locating a turnaround)
Ram Promaster 159" wheelbase non-extended. Van is exactly 20 ft bumper to bumper so it fits in a standard parking spot, and is 6'4" wide so you can sleep sideways in it
I’d love to see a video on how much you actually travel, what cities/states that’s usually in, where you’ve been and where you’d like to or are planning to go? Also, you could add or do a separate video on regular maintenance you must do for sprinter to keep it in great running condition/liveable, who does the repairs & possibly cost.

The Transit is an excellent choice. I've used them before, the full height, long wheel base with the Ecoboost (turbo) V6. Can't go wrong with one and it's what I'd love to do in the future. For now, I'm getting my Trailblazer SUV ready for some cross country (from Florida).
Sandra Halverson - i think it comes down to space above waist height - Sprinters have more tumblehome (the sides taper in more, so not as easy to fit a width oriented bed) and the fuel type (Sprinters tend to be diesel). Ultimately TH-camrs seem to be happy with any of them so can't go far wrong.

Before my father died of cancer he wants said people should have two dishwashers one for clean dishes and one for dirty dishes I always thought that was an interesting observation he also made a remark about people buying too many bargains this is why when you can go to the grocery store anytime you want and there’s always a new bargain

Fabric produce bags are awesome is you don't like getting the plastic ones. You can get pretty cheap ones or my crafty friend took a pillowcase and just cut it up and made a bunch of them for me.
I would highly recommend getting a small air fryer! I love being able to cut carrots and cucumbers into chip size, then I put it in the air fryer and it makes them crispy without the oil!
I think she says there are some snacks that have a hypnotic effect on her. She glazes over. And when she comes to, her whole bag of something is empty. All in her belly! She's gotta watch that. Or she'll get fat.
I already do the intermittent fasting with my daily life. Not by choice I just don’t have time to eat much. And I cut out as much refined sugar as possible and those two are big on helping me keep my weight down. Can’t say no to carbs though. I LOVE them to much.
How to choose the van for you. A box truck with. 8' x 7' x 18' insulated with lift gate . Can make a screened porch and walk in cooler panels for four season use wilderness camping. Can hinge on exterior.

I love to go grocery shopping at Vons, Safeway or Albertsons and get Lucerne milk in little bottles for my camping trips. It tastes better than the gallon jugs or the cartons. I never have to wash glasses and I never spill milk. I call it the Elixir of the Life, the Nectar of the Gods, the best water ever and the perfect smoothie. What I don't like about going shopping is going from the car to the store and back when it is 100 degrees, which is where I live.

I have a few suggestions for future videos. 1. Your videos show a lot of beautiful scenery; deserts, mountains, beaches & lakes. Film your trips to these amazing locations, and use your reporter skills to share with us some local history and/or legends about your favorite places. 2. Go through your equipment with us. Cameras. Camera accessories. Editing software. Show us how you make your videos. And 3. Get quirky. Find a haunted road to drive down. Stop at some roadside attractions. Visit and film anything that peaks your interest, and don't worry if we might or might not like it because you never know what people will gravitate towards. Happy travels. :)
My vote is for: Choose the van for you. Looking to convert a van for camping and long term camping (not living in). Great work on what you've done so far.
That pizza looked so good. I need to make one. With a family of ten and living in the mid west my shopping is a little different then yours is. I try to stay away from processed food too but my budget including hygiene, household items and diapers is $250 a week. Now I have to add garlic sauce to my list or figure out how to make some. Ive seen your video about how you work, but Im more wondering about where mail and bills are delivered, if Van Life is a monthly cost, or yearly cost. How often it take to get repairs, etc. I recently discovered your channel and Ive watched every video. They are so fascinating! You never bore me, and you just have such a fun loving quality about you. I honestly always looked at Van Life as an inconvenience, but youve shown it to me it a totally different light. I love hearing about everything about it! Oh! Another video idea would be where you’ve traveled, what was your favorite location, and your favorite part of that area. Sorry for such a long comment! For condiments why not steal them from restaurants? Like you could have a McDonald's sweet and sour, Popeyes honey mustard, packets of ketchup and BK ranch!! Best of all worlds!!
Yeh, the packets are the way to go. Even mayo doesn't need to be refrigerated. But you don't need to steal from KFC to get packets. Buy them at the larger bulk stores that carry them!

I, also, am addicted to sugar. Never lost weight. ☹️ It’s been two years. I rarely eat grains! I munch on nuts, almonds mostly, sometimes add a few dried cranberries with apple juice, No sulphur.

Great video watched this particular one because I’m going camping and I have to go shopping for my fridge which uses dry ice to keep things cool. A lot of great tips and it looks as though cutting out processed foods is really good for you, your hair and skin looks healthy and great safe travels!

This is good advice and instruction for anybody living in any dwelling, house, apt., mobile, RV, etc.. It shows forethought, planning, list making, doing it (shopping), unpacking, and finally preparing anything. This is my first WBTM video. I don't know why she is doing this. But this was a nice, helpful, video for your grocery/living needs.

Promaster is fwd so it has a lower floor, not so good for off road but full stand up van in Promaster has less overall height

How to choose the van for you. A box truck with. 8' x 7' x 18' insulated with lift gate . Can make a screened porch and walk in cooler panels for four season use wilderness camping. Can hinge on exterior.

I love to go grocery shopping at Vons, Safeway or Albertsons and get Lucerne milk in little bottles for my camping trips. It tastes better than the gallon jugs or the cartons. I never have to wash glasses and I never spill milk. I call it the Elixir of the Life, the Nectar of the Gods, the best water ever and the perfect smoothie. What I don't like about going shopping is going from the car to the store and back when it is 100 degrees, which is where I live.

Instead of the plastic produce bags, maybe try some cotton reusable ones? Also a reusable cup and straw for your juice (just ask the person at the counter to out the drink in your own cup)! Treat the planet well!

I watched all your videos and would like to know what you do for security? Do you have pepper spray, gun, any type of weapons? What if a wild animal, bum anybody tried to do anything to you. Do you have security measures in place or have you thought about it.

I have a few suggestions for future videos. 1. Your videos show a lot of beautiful scenery; deserts, mountains, beaches & lakes. Film your trips to these amazing locations, and use your reporter skills to share with us some local history and/or legends about your favorite places. 2. Go through your equipment with us. Cameras. Camera accessories. Editing software. Show us how you make your videos. And 3. Get quirky. Find a haunted road to drive down. Stop at some roadside attractions. Visit and film anything that peaks your interest, and don't worry if we might or might not like it because you never know what people will gravitate towards. Happy travels. :)

That pizza looked so good. I need to make one. With a family of ten and living in the mid west my shopping is a little different then yours is. I try to stay away from processed food too but my budget including hygiene, household items and diapers is $250 a week. Now I have to add garlic sauce to my list or figure out how to make some. Ive seen your video about how you work, but Im more wondering about where mail and bills are delivered, if Van Life is a monthly cost, or yearly cost. How often it take to get repairs, etc. I recently discovered your channel and Ive watched every video. They are so fascinating! You never bore me, and you just have such a fun loving quality about you. I honestly always looked at Van Life as an inconvenience, but youve shown it to me it a totally different light. I love hearing about everything about it!

you can get a styrofoam ice chest.I got one for free when I purchased some frozen items and they work better than a freezer.
For condiments why not steal them from restaurants? Like you could have a McDonald's sweet and sour, Popeyes honey mustard, packets of ketchup and BK ranch!! Best of all worlds!!
Yeh, the packets are the way to go. Even mayo doesn't need to be refrigerated. But you don't need to steal from KFC to get packets. Buy them at the larger bulk stores that carry them!
Phil the Stalker I’m pretty sure Vuong condiment packets in bulk would defeat the whole space saving aspect of the packets in the first place.

I, also, am addicted to sugar. Never lost weight. ☹️ It’s been two years. I rarely eat grains! I munch on nuts, almonds mostly, sometimes add a few dried cranberries with apple juice, No sulphur.

Great video watched this particular one because I’m going camping and I have to go shopping for my fridge which uses dry ice to keep things cool. A lot of great tips and it looks as though cutting out processed foods is really good for you, your hair and skin looks healthy and great safe travels!
Love this video! Emry and I have been keto for 4 months and I have lost 39 pounds so far. I intermittent fast for 20 hour and eat 4 hours every Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday! Great video this week! I'm always amazed at how my friends in college could pack a weeks worth of food in a mini fridge! You keep inspiring us! Funny new game we play now is Emry loves to drive by Walmart to see van lifers! LOL
This is good advice and instruction for anybody living in any dwelling, house, apt., mobile, RV, etc.. It shows forethought, planning, list making, doing it (shopping), unpacking, and finally preparing anything. This is my first WBTM video. I don't know why she is doing this. But this was a nice, helpful, video for your grocery/living needs.
