Why couldn't they put him in any of the main battle network games? He's awesome! I mean Zero was originally created to spread this timelines version of the maverick virus to other Navis and is one of the most powerful Net Navis ever created. He might even be powerful enough to give Bass EXE trouble. And Imagine if Wily or Regal got a hold of him. That could possibly lead to something even worse than the cy-beasts or the Dark Chips. Now that would be interesting.
Personally I think they should make a spinoff series of him of what happened after NT (MMBN Zero as a way to focus him as the main protaganist). Not only what happened to him as well as answering to many questions that most fans have (Serenade, Bass, etc) instead of repetitive mess such as Darkchips, WWW, and all that crap that MMBN had to go through.

@Obsessivefanboy i meant the games. And the animated series was cancelled (at least the english dub) so most dont know who Slur is and what happened after the fight against Laserman and Dr. Regal. I did heard that fight (Bass vs. Slur) was cool, the apperance of Nebula Grey and that Zero appears much later in the series. It is a shame we didnt got to see those arcs and I just dont understand why the dub never got completed.

And i guess Omega was simply an optional boss for some extra/hard shit made by capcom and has nothing to do with the lore anyway after Megaman Zero 3

Sour Mike the Battle Network series is an alternate timeline from the original, so some characters from the original (classic/x/zx/legends) timeline have counterparts in this one! A lot of the Navis you fight are based off of classic mega man robot masters, and some other characters' incarnations in this universe show up too- Iris and Colonel from X, Glyde from Legends, etc! Bass is also there, with a completely different role and origin story, and other characters such as Dr. Cossak and Duo from the classic series are there too!
