Looking good and welcome back. And be careful. This episode reminded me of how easy it is to get into trouble any number of ways. Nice to see some snow.
It's great to see you back on your channel after a very long vacation you took. It's an excellent idea to do a sleepover in the cabin for your first video before getting down to the serious ones and enjoyable wilderness.
Thanks so much! 😊 yeah it’s annoying when you don’t have a vehicle and can’t go anywhere so it’s nice to be able to dip the toes in and make sure all my gear is in order
Next time you use the BBQ try raising the bottom/coal grate closer to food grate and you won't have to use but a 1/4 of the charcoal you used. Good to see you out and about Robert.
Good idea Tony!! I felt like I was using a lot more charcoal than I needed but the stove doesn’t really get hot enough to cook food all that well. It will boil water very slowly
@@BrooksandBirches I cook a lot of meals on my grill at home Robert. And its a pretty large grill so that is what I do also. Plus I don't like deep frying in the house and get it all smelled up. So I raise the charcoal grates up closer to the food/skillet. I also will use small wood to give an immediate flame and temperature rise when needed.
The next time you have that chainsaw bar off, might want to run it a bit and make sure the oil pump is putting out. Clean away all the sawdust you can with a brush or rag. Clean the oil ports in the bar. I use a very small screwdriver or better a piece of .040 aluminium (joke) to clean the groove in the bar where the chain rides. Oil travels there, too. Don't over tension chain when you put it back on (runout -check specs). When the chain tension and idle adjustment are good the chain should "dance" but not spin. Now with the saw running, point it at something close but not touching and open the throttle some. You should see some oil being flung off and hitting it. Kind of long and windy, but I mean you well brother. Catch you later!
hello my name is Junior I live in Blount county and I love watching your show and doing all the good in the woods keep up the hard work I'm fixing to watch your new video 📸📷
Hey Rob, good to see you again. I hope all's well. I looked at Brunt's site. Man they have some nice stuff. I love those boots. I have to order a pair now! Good prices too and thanks for the discount code! 🏕️🪓🪵🔥🌞
Not this time, I figured running the chainsaw would be best if they stayed home but hopefully next time I’m out here I’m bringing the wife and the pups
glad to have found you mate, 🌲 always think of Yorkshire pud'n🍨 when I hear the word even tho I haven't a clue what it is ✌🏼🙄 phenomenal work filming & such.. keep groov'n 🍁 ☕ 🍪 🍂🍳🍲🥧🌃🪓🕯️
Nice one mate!! It's been a while since I've enjoyed a good old Yorkshire pud! Maybe I should make some and bring them camping with me. Do a bit of toad in the hole
Hey man!! No worries buddy. It's a hard question to answer because I literally travel all over. I love the ADK's and have camped in all different corners of it but I will say I avoid the High Peaks like the plague! They are cool but too many people for me
Like number 517. Watching from Arkansas buddy. Was you a Canadian citizen before you became an American citizen?? And was it hard to get American citizenship??
Rob, please talk on your videos. I subscribed when you had maybe 2k subsceibers. I enjoy your chat while you are setting up a tent, canoeing..cooking. Guess I just dont like the quiet videos. Just my opinion, of course.
Thanks Lynne! I can understand that completely. It’s always hard to find a balance I guess! Sometimes my ADD makes it hard for my videos to have a specific style lol
I'm probably in the minority here, but I'm not a fan of the no talking videos you've been uploading. Definitely prefer your older stuff where you have some interaction with your audience.
I understand Chris. There is a little bit of talking in the videos. I try and find a balance but you should see how much blooper footage I have when I do speak haha probably repeat myself a million times
Thanks to BRUNT for sponsoring todays video - Check them out at bruntworkwear.com/birches10
I love the Brunt gear Robert keep pushing them man
Dig the boots man

Thanks Drew!! Yeah it can happen pretty easily and usually when you get a little too comfortable
Can’t go wrong w the Stewart’s Apple fritter as long as you don’t eat too many 😂
You can say that again! They’re my favorite camping treat. Usually on the way home, cup of Stewart’s coffee and an apple fritter
Don't want a fritter hangover, lol.
What a presentation my friend, this looks amazing! Shots are just gorgeous 🥾🥾
Thank you!!

Haha yeah I definitely don’t need that much grill for little old me but hey smoke em if you got ‘em right
Love that little “cabin” in the woods!
Aye she'll do for a man like me!
Glad to see your videos again. You post good stuff.
I appreciate that! Thanks Sean! 2022 was not a good year
Happy to see you’ve made a new one, Rob. 👍

I'm glad to see you bought a decent knife. Cheers from Oklahoma.
haha cheers Chris! You can't go wrong with a Mora
Knowing you're doing all this in upstate NY/ Vermont area makes me enjoy this even more. born and raised upstate.
I love it here! Has everything an outdoorsman could ever ask for

Thanks Mike!! I'm super happy with the pair I got. I had been looking for a pair since my close call so it worked out great
Excellent choice of chainsaw! The 545 mark2 is great
It sure is! I love it, she needed a new chain and now she cuts like a dream again
Good to see you out at the bachelor shack.
Thanks Johnny! Nice to be out and about again
Yesss!
Thanks Daphne!!
You are doing good Rob. Be safe. It's a jungle out there!
Wind is kicking top of the mountain I can hear it
Sounds like your oiler isn't working on your chain saw. Chain seemed to be dragging hard.
I thought it didn’t sound right but I cleaned out the oiler when I took the old chain off. Really need to get in there and clean out all the gunk
Life is good love the doors that looked really tight man great adventure log fire nice
The husky is a badass saw
Ahhhhh you're back..
Sure am Stewart! Feels good to be outside again finally
I been waiting to see what we are eating tonight hahaha I see bricketts bourbon whicky
Need a booster pack they are awesome to have specially with dead batteries in the back country
I was thinking that too! I need something like that because there's no electricity other than the generator so a tender won't work
@@BrooksandBirches got one for $85 has air light usb and jump batteries. Pretty handy gotten my $ worth already
Didn't bring the pups?
Not this time, I figured running the chainsaw would be best if they stayed home but hopefully next time I’m out here I’m bringing the wife and the pups
Hahahaha the ice falling is cool lol

Love your channel! I’m in the Utica area. Where are you located? Where in the ADK do you camp? Sorry if the questions are too personal 🤓
