Man... growing up in South Central in the 80s sure was a trip... and it was just as wild (and scary) as this show portrays. This is such a great show... hits so close to home! The entire cast is phenomenal!
@@jayden562 To be honest, I've only made it up to S3, and I haven't made time to catch up on the rest, because I had completely forgot about S4 when it premiered -- I got sidetracked when my sister asked me to watch Yellowstone when I was house/pet sitting for her... so I obliged and got hooked. In fact, now that you reminded me (my roommate was bugging me to watch it as well), I have to jump back in and rewatch the entire seasons. And on that note: growing up in The Hood, the topic of the crack epidemic comes up often whenever I run into my friends whom I grew up with in the '80s, and they often tell me stories related to how they, or people they knew, fell victim to the White Pony! Yeah, the stories are heartbreaking, but fascinating at the same time. I'm glad my close friends made it out alive (I never cared to touch the stuff -- being the square that I am), but hanging out with them while they partook in its bliss, was scary to me. I was like the 17 year old dad to all of them when they'd indulge... and although I was far beyond their voice of reason (I never told them not to), they'd try to peer pressure me into joining them, while I always had my head about me and kept my cool and would say... "Yeah, no thanks!" every single time they'd try to get me to join in. Thank the universe I was smart enough in that area to know messing with that stuff would be a bad idea. But I digress... time for me to dove back in to this series --- and thanks for the reminder @jayden562!
R. I. P john Singleton. he has made so many movies as well as this show that i see as underated but still he sent a powerful message and used film to impact negative things in a positive way. Fly high angel and may this show be carried on the way he would have wanted it to.
It was amazing. Love this show👏👏👏👏👏 R.I.P John Singleton I know your spirit will still be working on set to keep the show going. Still can't believe you went home so soon. People are body dies not are soul. John is with the greats now.
SNOWFALL is definitely the hottest show on TV right now! I really enjoy the show's realness and all of its characters. I grew up in the Wash, DC area in those times and I remember how things were when crack first hit the streets there..."area neighborhood businesses" (corner blocks) were popping up everywhere! Folks were getting money hand over fist, until the killing started...it just f**ked the whole game up! Thanks John Singleton and Damson Idris, this show brings back a lot of memories...some I didn't want to remember and some that were great ones! Life in the 80's and 90's in America (especially in DC) were some fun times and also some dangerous times....and SNOWFALL brings takes it all on, like a true show suppose to! #NoFluff #NoFilter #Snowfall
This show deserved more awards, its better than the shows that did, snowfall was the most engaging/best tv drama to date. Its a fictional story with real world events that took place making the audience talk about history more than any other drama out there, its a learning experience aswell as a dramatized tv show

Sounds like they're ripping Rick Ross's life
EXACTLY
Can you explain, I’m confused
@@daveagard1884 the Real Rick Ross, not the fat ex co at a prison rapper, was a young black man who sold 100 kilos a day in South central. He moved bricks for the contras
Didn't know W.C was really the man's initials.. tite
It’s crazy nipsey hussle funeral was bigger than John singleton , hell John has done wayyy more for black people than him.

Are you even black? 😂 Seems kinda weird for you to compare who did "more for blacks" @@tonysnow2224
how do actors separate from their character damson dont even stand or walk like franklin
What's the intro track that continues in the backround??????
hopefully this guy isnt selling any crack tho lmao
He bites he's bottom lip a lot
Who ?
♥️♥️♥️
Franklin is british LMFAO
Is y'all gun cut Freeway Ricky Ross a check doe
For what wasnt based on him
Know I know why Franklin is so “stereotypical” it cause his actor’s British
What does that mean?
MeMe Smith He just sounds so... much like Lamar and Franklin from GTAV, all of the other characters sound more “authentic”
BlackRaptorJesus 115 oh I see what you mean. I just found out he was British. I can see it now but I think he's doing a job at it. 😂❤️
That would mean all the authentic people sound stereotypical.
BlackRaptorJesus 115 ummm the ppl who voice those characters are actually form LA
Lol that’s leimert park, not south central
Brilliant show.
