1:17 fucking love that james bond sounding ass kinda deal, really cool in the context of running from a giant ass explosion in someone's base, especially right before a big orchestral drop
I platinum relic-ed this. MY FIRST TRY. The mech is SO easy to control. I hate it when people say this game is bad. It's not and follows on from the original formula very well, all with more polygons on screen than ever before.
I feel sorry just about everything wants to chase Crash Crash 1: Boulders Crash 2: More Boulders and GIANT POLAR BEARS!! Crash 3: A FREAKING DINOSAUR! Crash WOC: Dragon, Tsunami, Avalanche (Technically both ones before have Coco) And Balls of Fire oh and those rhinos
I know that this comment is old, but it also happens in Crash Twinsanity: A giant Drill, An army of tribesmen, Rocket powered penguins, An angry Butcher Walrus, And Acid! (not the drug kind) but this time, Cortex doesn't have it easy either: Bees, a Bear, a bunch of parasites, and an evil version of Crash. and Nina has to deal with a School bus!
Yeah, if you notice in the BGM, there's a clock ticking... OMG! I never knew music could have these subliminal effects O_o Like making you want to rush through levels :P
That one level that acknowledges you have to run and jump while using the mech since there is a jump delay when doing a stand jump because Crash has to swing the arms to maneuver the mech to do a jump. The mech is a cool idea, but it has problems that should have been solved. Being able to aim smoothly and have a health meter.
I agree, a take i heard from one video is that it should have been like the submersible thing from Crash 3, a powerful bonus that once you lost you were back to vulnerable crash.
This soundtrack is AWESOME. It gets even better in a heart pumping way if you adjust the setting have the video go at 1.25 × Speed. Crash Bandicoot 4 has arguably one of the best soundtrack in the whole series.
Cao Ang this would’ve been epic, i agree. Cortex vortex music wasn’t bad but it wasn’t as intense as this, but this level fits very well with its music too
Never had the patience to reach this level. Time trails in this game are bloody frustrating. Edit: wait never mind. I though this was that space ball roll level. This level I did reach and I always loved it. Much better than 'droid void' . If you ask me droid void is a bit poorly designed. This level however was just great and the soundtrack fits the level perfectly.
Because half of the levels are gimmicky and the bosses are shit. Some parts of the game are poorly designed and the loading times take up most of your lifetime. Not necessarily my opinion. I'm just listing of the main complaints. I don't consider this game bad since half of the levels are good (IMO) but it does have a lot of flaws. However the soundtrack is definitely not one of them. This game in my opinion has the best soundtrack of any game I have played.
List of things that chase Crash by each game. Crash 1: giant rocks. Cortex Strikes Back: Bearminator, and giant ice balls. Warped: Giant prehistoric rhino. Wrath of Cortex: Animal stampede, giant explosion, and a dragon. Twinsanity: Papu Papu's Tribesmen and Rusty Walrus. Mind Over Mutant: Giant spinning spiked column. Why does Crash always end up getting chased by someone or something trying to kill him?
Well, you don't IMMEDIATELY notice it. Noticing the clock ticking requires somewhat of a level of concentration. A level of concentration which you would be currently applying to finish the level. So yeah, you wouldn't notice it while playing the game so I still class it as subliminal. It's just that I've exposed it is all ^_^
Only three things wrong with wrath of cortex: 1.-This should have been the last level before crunch & cortex final boss because of it's epic tone and music (also crash has the mech so it would have been like the game cover itself) 2.-The part that starts at 1:30 should last longer 3.- The cortex Vortex level seems so lazy developed, and even the music isn't that good
the crash series always had great music, but this game is where it started getting really epic!
nope crash bash had the most epic soundtrack
Deadass this game was the shit

best part of it, it always drop at the very moment you get chased by the fire
This is realy epic 1:30
This music just oozes of that exciting early 2000s vibe we all had going from ps1 Crash to the 'new' spectacular era of PS2.
the song has panic all over it.
The explosion is sentient
Epic level and epic music

Well done, finally someone who understands.
Thank you for your comment, this game was gold! ^_^ I liked all Crash games, except the newer ones
Alyssa Vallejo Titans was okay at best. at least it didn't have as much backtracking as MoM. MoM is the definition of backtracking.
***** Yes the do, but the look a lot better than CB1-3
***** Agreed. The aesthetics of CB2 and 3 make the game that EXTRA special.
This is the game they needed to bring back.
the music is really moving all the time and sticks with the level, from what I remember a yellow powder caught us while we were in the robot

Music to outrun an explosion in a mech while rushing to stop Cortex's latest scheme to.
Having played this level many times, the first thing I did when I heard this music after so many years was run for my f***ing life!
This was the one where you ran from a fire explosion right? Pretty epic, and probably one of my favourite tracks in the game after the Cortex round.
glad to hear I'm not the only one who thinks this level is epic
OMG my favorite music out of the whole game.
I LOVE THIS LEVEL.played it 1,000,000 times after beating it.
1:30 reminds me of Shrek running from the dragon
1:28
run crash!!runnnnn!
good call this is the track i could never forget too.
So many memories!!!!
1:04 when it gets really good
I like this track because you start off similar to other levels and as things mall function you have to hurry up. Jokes i just love the robot :D
I think this should've been the music for Cortex Vortex instead.
Cao Ang this would’ve been epic, i agree. Cortex vortex music wasn’t bad but it wasn’t as intense as this, but this level fits very well with its music too
I love this music and leve too.

CRASH BANDICOOT THE WRATH OF CORTEX PS2 SOUNDTRACK LEVEL 25 V2"5 2022 )😃😃 PART 1
Why did people hate this game
I know right. This game is awesome!
Because it tried new things (But not enough for them) and it wasn't made by naughty dog
honestly? fuck the swimming levels

A "giant prehistoric rhino", also known as a dinosaur.
It's a triceratops.
Don't forget the Avalanche
That bus that chases Nina in Twinsanity.
Nice title slip-up. Now I know where the level gets its name from.
Great balls of fire= Crate Balls of Fire. Huh. I never caught that.
Who else loved the puns in Crash Bandicoot 2, 3 and 4 (I don't remember if there were such puns in Crash Bandicoot 1)
YES! My favorite had to be Drain Damage from The Wrath of Cortex.

Yeah, those were cool. (P.S I didn't use to understand them as a kid cause I am not a native English speaker)

I'm not gonna lie: Crash never had it easy.
Noticing it doesn't automatically render it as "not subliminal".
Um... yes it does.
Subliminal; adjective
Meaning: Below the threshold of conscious perception, especially if still able to produce a response.
I never understood why half of the levels in crash games didnt suit the warp room they were in
mission impossible or matex or like somewhere dangerous
Gotta remix this
It's no way to remastered this game because crash 4 is instead this game
I don't see an error in the title of this song; it says Crate on what I'm on.
1:30 thank me later
