Yea this is a line between Antwerpen - Mechelen. So yea Duffel but also Kontich & Lint are stations located in this area with almost the same platforms of 4 tracks
Nice video! But I am not happy that SNCB abolishes an IC train an hour between Antwerp and Brussels on weekdays, because of the introduction of the commercial-expensive Eurocity Direct trains between Belgium and the Netherland which are not allowed for the domestic passengers of Belgium from December 2024!
What do you mean by ‘not allowed’? Is there an ID check on the platform or in the train? And if it is true would you be fined if you make a domestic train ride? In that case the European dream has flown out of the window. In The Netherlands it is possible to make a domestic train ride on the IC Direct, but with a surcharge.
@RealConstructor Thank you for your answer! I mean the passengers of Belgium for domestic travel in Belgium are not allowed in Eurocity-Direct trains, while they are the victim of the abolishment of one of the two slow domestic InterCity trains between Antwerp and Brussels on weekdays from December 2024. Especially the passengers of the railway stations: Mortsel-Oude God, Mechelen-Nekkerspoel and Vilvoorde are the victims of less trains. Did you understand?
@@SpottingTrainHD Indeed. I am angry to SNCB, while I don't live there. But I stand up for the passengers of the railway stations: Mortsel-Oude God, Mechelen-Nekkerspoel and Vilvoorde.
You actually went right next to Sint-Katelijne-Waver hah! I think it's a better choice than the one I said, there at least the trains run faster. Nice video!
Only a short time ago it occurred to me that trains in The Netherlands don’t have a line number, while in other countries every train has a line number. I now see it seep into the Dutch train system because of the German and Belgian trains going to Dutch stations, they all have a line number.
Officially they do have line numbers, but are deemed as train series. For example number 3600 is an intercity from Roosendaal to Zwolle , and this has been for a long time. But these numbers are not displayed on the information system as an actual line number. Only destinations. Arriva however does use specific names for lines (example RS20 or RE20), but are still numbered like the rest of the trainnet (nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lijst_van_treinseries_in_Nederland, it's in Dutch, but if you are Dutch, dan is het makkelijk te lezen).
@@pjotrtje0NL Because line numbers make identifying services and stop patterns way easier. It also makes it easier to reference a particular service, especially on a busy route with many different services.
Never realised Duffel was such a great place for train-spotting. Amazing to see how many different sort of trains run through that little station! 👍

@@OverSpotterBlackHUS1995 yes is ridiculous from the SNCB en one train in less is not a better option

Why would you need a line number? You are at a station, the boards tell you where it’s going…?
@ In Belgium it's like that
