Camden had a comfortable lead and would have probably won the game. To know that because of today’s technology, that game was seen around the world. I saw it starting when there was a scramble for a loose ball number 0 pushed Robinson while he wasn’t looking the ref didn’t call a technical and East Side coach did not reprimand number 0. So the fight came when another little short dude went to set a pick on Robinson with his elbows headed towards Robinsons neck and face. Well if they want Camden out of the state tournament they can certainly use this. It’s a shame these players learned nothing when Camden’s football team was ousted from the playoffs and they have forgotten the jubilee of a year ago shared by both team. One day they will understand they are Family, Friends and Neighbors.

    Unfortunate for the city of CAMDEN this is yet another blemish, however this was far from a brawl; but then again according to some maybe this was..
    People are quick to give a narrative to try a persuade people judgements instead of waiting til all the information have been gathered and investigation have been completed first.. Willing to bet them same people was first to send their footage to njsiaa..😆 🤣

      I was there , like I stated in another post it was far from an all out brawl but was a lot longer than what was shown on that video and luckily it didn't turn out as bad as it could have been. As much as I was hoping for the game to continue they made the right decision. It will be interesting to see what the NJSIAA will do . I ultimately believe that as much as they would like to have Camden involved in the state tournament since they attract alot of attention for being one of the best teams in the country they will be left no other option then to dq them from participating.

    • @jurzeeslugga5270
      @jurzeeslugga5270 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@georgesmith1885 We'll have to wait for that verdict, but whatever decision that is made will upset alot of people in some way or another ( if they let one or both play then you upset everyone outside of CAMDEN, and if you DQ one or both then you upset the city of CAMDEN).
      Again its unfortunate for both defending champions that now their faith of defending their group titles lies in the hands of the njsiaa and history shows thats selboms ends well for them in the past. But again we'll just have to wait and see..

    Surprised and not surprised! Dj got that 🔥 in his spirit. That type of energy is good when conserved for something much more useful. He's usually very poised, under control and there's no doubt he belongs at the next level of basketball. Any kid from the inner city has that type of edginess that is nothing more than pure manly instincts of protecting a loved one. He plays with pride and there are moments where I notice he plays like he has a chip on his shoulder. That type of hunger just comes with the territory especially when you can smell the highest level of basketball a mile away. He will be getting the bag in a few years or so and that's where knowing the situation is very critical. His level of prestige and talent should have been enough for him to deescalate the situation not add to the tension. His demeanor generally is very laid back so that must carry out even in heated moments. He will learn from this. I don't think this was that big of a deal. We've seen worse.

      honestly he has no place on the court with student athletes if this is how he makes decisions. Let him be the best player on the courts in the park, but no business in a collegiate setting if he cant control his most basic human urges and immediately perpetuates violence. If a dog shits in the house it stays outside.

    Wagner reacted to his teammate elbowing the Eastside player. Wagner's reaction further escalated the situation. It's unfortunate that both teams will not make to state playoffs. Wagner could also be suspended from McDonald's All American game, but his scholarship to Kentucky is fine.
    For those justifying that Wagner's actions demonstrated that he has some "dawg" in him, you want the player to have toughness and discipline. Had his teammates and others not held him back, he could have hurt someone.
    Just curious , why does Wagner attend Camden?? He has a grandfather and father who are former NBA players. Shouldn't he have played for a prep/ private school or at least a school in suburbs.

The hope is that he learns from this incident as it cost his teammates who will not be going D1. Had he attempted to calm the situation , perhaps both teams could have made the playoffs , except the two players involved in the altercation. It also makes Camden look bad that the best player and off spring of 2 NBA pros lost his cool. He will still go to Kentucky.
