I guess gear 5 being strong is good but that counter on top of def increase on knockback and on top of that the ignorance of enemy players in own capture treasure is insane ... He can literally guard a treasure whole game without dying...
Lemme tell you after dealing with him in ranked there is no worse feeling than playing against gear 5 in the coliseum and drum kingdom. Especially if there are 2 protecting the same area. Guy is absurd
Got him to 5 stars with 700 gems Hes not the strongest unit in terms of atk. but hes pretty tanky if u play him right. and to me the most fun unit to use. i love the toxicity of the Counter 😂
@@Qwasmnzx honestly, they have different roles. If you prefer to oneshot enemies, keep Roger and Shanks no doubt. If you enjoy feeling super tanky and being a menace on treasure area, go for Luffy.
I think the main appeal Is that he is Uber tanky, even in his attacker or runner form. I don't think he Is supposed to play like the usual glass cannon attacker, he is more a versatile Defender that can cover weird situation but Is not immediately dead outside of treasure area.

I think the counter is literally busted though, bc I have yet to hit a single person with it and I always get hit out of it, but then I see stuff like this and wonder what I'm doing wrong
If you have enough, the smartest option for luffy is 70% defense 70% health and some attack, luffy is a very tank person, and your gonna most likely play him in a more defense state, so having a defense build with incredibly health and some attack, you can legit make the best luffy possible

i manage to win multiple times against G5 luffy with EX Zoro. but i was sweating hard. freakin difficult to win. especially against players with good evasion.
I just got gear 5 today before I even claimed my free 50 gems. I did one single summon with the 3 gems on the bottom banner and I got him from one. I would’ve thought he was gonna be so much harder to get. First EX, account is saved! Happiness. 😌
I'm F2P and I used all 900 of my life saving and didn't get him till I got the second 50 gems from daily login. My first all strawhat crew animation aswell.
Personally I'm in the same situation, I will just make an alt with G5 and claim all the rewards in my main too. (When I get tired of him imma fully get back to my main)
