Say Paul, do you have an idea why my source image when dragged to the target grows about 150% larger? Is it because my drop zones are not identical in shape and size as my source objects. BTW the project involves dragging wheels (sources) to scooter outline front wheel drop zone and back drop zone. ty
@@CaptivateTeacher Thanks Paul...I took my wheel graphic and made a copy in Photoshop, filled it with 'red', so it's just a 'silohoutte' --used the red filled graphic as my target, and the original wheel as my source, and it still grows sigificantly when I drag and drop...
@@CaptivateTeacher I think i figured it out why mine are 'growing'... I was using svg graphics...when I converted all my assets to png, it works perfectly...not sure why the svg's are growing, but at least I have a work around! Thanks for all your help and support!
Hi Paul. Thanks a lot for sharing your knowledge! Just a question. Is it possible to assign to a drop target more than one correct answer? I have 5 drag sources and two columns of drop targets.I don't want a particular order for the answers. If 1 and 2 are correct answers for the column A, if the user puts in column A 1 and 2 or 2 and 1 is always correct. Is it possible or is there another way to achieve this? Thanks in advance.
Dear Paul, Thank you so much for sharing with us your great tutorials. When working on a drag and drop activity, i noticed that this feature doesn't work on Microsoft Windows Touch devices. If you touch and drag one of the drag-elements you can move it little bit and then it returns to the original position. The same activity run perfectly on the same device only if i use a mouse. P.S: The same activity work perfectly when it is tested on any android touch device. did you faced this issue? if yes, do we have any solution for that?
I'm assuming you're referring to the Surface line of products. I've been using the Captivate DnD feature for years now and I've simply not encountered any organization that relies heavily on the Surface devices within their organization. Make sure you let Adobe know of this but so they can rectify it in the next release.
Hi Paul I really like your videos they are my first go to choice when I need to learn how to do something. I've been having an issue with creating a drag-and-drop in Captivate 9. It is a simple missing word drag and drop where the user drags words into the sentence. The problem I'm having is when the user presses the Submit button I want all the correct answers to stay on their drop targets and all the wrong answers to bounce back to their starting position. This should be simple to achieve but I can't see how! At the moment if you don't get everything correct all drag objects bounce back to their original starting position. Any thoughts on how to achieve this?
You can't do this on submit but can do it on each drag and drop. For example, if you drag one item over and it's correct, the feedback says "Good job" or whatever and stays in that position. If you drag something over and it's incorrect it says "sorry not right" or whatever and jumps back right away. This way the user accumulatively works at the knowledge check until each is in its correct place. You do this through the Object Actions window.
Once again, you've given answers which I haven't been able to find ANYWHERE else. Many thanks to you!
Sharon Ruth Hardy you're welcome.

They would need to be sized appropriately. You can adjust scale percentage on the drop target to resize the drag object when dropped.

thanks for sharing your outcome.
@@CaptivateTeacher Your very welcome...thanks for the inspiration to create and mentor!
Is there any way to not accept the wrong answers and add some sort of tone to correct and failure?
Why don't you watch my Drag and Drop playlist. You might find everything you need to answer this question.
