I just graduated from cosmetology school and your videos have helped me transform from a cookie cutter student to making my own own unit as a stylist. Your videos are truly the definition of learning the rules so you can break them. You’ve definitely become my favorite TH-camr.
huge tip is dont blowdry under like that because youre blowing the cuticle up and roughing up the hair rather than smoothing. Its important to always face the concentrator so that its always blowing the cuticle down flat.
I like to rough dry the hair all over so that it's not so damp, and then I put in my products that I'm going to be using! That way the products don't get diluted and work to their full potential. I loved all your other tips for giving a blowout! I've been in the business for 4 years and still try to perfect my blowouts!! I love your videos, keep them coming!!!
Thank you for these videos...I'm about 60% of the way through cosmetology school right now and some of the "little" tips you give are so important but missed in school! We learn the basics but never the things that kind of brings the whole technique together! So thank you!
I'm so glad you posted this! I am going out on the floor in school this week and one of my guests wants a blowout. I needed some more tips, and I definitely benefited from your video!
You are so inspiring and as a junior stylist I love watching your videos to keep me motivated in the hair industry! I love your work and I all your videos keep me watching and want me to become a better stylist each day because of you!! xo
I know you are in Utah but do you ever have clients that are black or Spanish or that have curly hair NOT WAVY but curly hair? Because it’s easy to blow hair out that’s already straight or maybe you e already done a curly hair video and I haven’t seen it . Thanks Jessie !
I'm in beauty college right now and I am getting tested tomorrow. This helps a lot! Thank you! So glad I came across your channel! We are in the middle of learning about color theory as well and I will be watching that one next. ❤
Thank you so much for this video! I just passed my board of cosmetology and this video will definitely help me in the long run! You got yourself a new subby❤️ xo!!
I wish this was a proper blow out tutorial. No heat tools just a good round brush blowout. Just some constructive criticism the video is informative and I enjoyed regardless thanks Jessie
i bought kevin murphy hydrate me per your recommendation and i love it! i live in california, have blonde hair and surf - so the hydration is needed! and this line of was and rinse is awesome!
I would love to see what are the best barrel sizes of curling irons are for different lengths of hair :D I love watching your videos. they have helped me out so much in the care of my hair...
Do you ever get clients with either extremely damaged or extremely tangly hair and find that it takes forever to dry their hair through the knots? I really struggle whenever I have someone whose hair keeps knotting as I dry it!
Jessi! I love the new tones of your hair, I went darker this winter after seeing your beautiful color! Now I am on my way back to that light cool blonde! What toner did you use on your hair to achieve this buttery blonde?
Hey! Awesome as always! Two questions...I tried to get ahold of t3 a couple years ago because I love their driers and never got a response. Do you know the best way to contact them as a stylist? And where did you get your apron? I love the material
I love this vid! This is how I was taught to give a blowout and it's sad to see how hairdressers who have more experience half ass a beautiful blowout.
Quick question! What brand of towels do you use??? And where do you get them? They look so soft! I feel like using regular terry cloth makes it hard to do the turban wrap because theres not a lot of give to the material. Thanks!
can you recommend any other hair products? maybe that are on the cheaper side? i love your work!! i'm tempted to road trip there from texas so you can do my hair!!
ion from sally's beauty supply has great styling products. I know it seems like a cheaper brand but I use their shampoos, hair masks, leave in conditioners ...I just believe they are top notch. I don't really trust anything else from sally's.
Not necessarily related to this, but I need your guidance! I cannot get my hair to hold a curl for crap!! I've tried 1028384720 hairsprays and about 5 different irons. HELP!! My hair looks amazing when I leave, but by 3 hours into my work day, it's straight again. Naturally wavy and THICK.
justjulief Try using smaller, organized sections and instead of finger combing through the curls immediatrly, let them cool (Use a diffuser to speed up the process) If you set the style, your curl should hold really nicely
I use Paul Mitchell Worked Up spray all over my hair before I curl and it will hold for 3 days. I personally have used $18 Conair curling wands and $80 Hot tools wands and I get the same result as long as I prepped my hair with Worked Up.
Seriously, thank you for mentioning the cleanup at the bowl!! So many stylists are so messy!!!!
