Im a New Author and yes Amazon does do all of that but after shipping and printing they take 60% royalty on top of that.. My book is priced at 10.00 and I make about a 1.00 per book. My message is more important then the money for sure but people need to know how Amazon really works. Thank you

If you sell a book for $10 on amazon 10% goes to taxes in Jamaica so your profit is $0.50. I just don't think its profitable with certain low content books

"Low Content" books is an oversaturated market at this time. Thousands of creators made their viewers believe that this was a way to make ALOT of money, in very little time, using very little effort & required NO skills. So people raced over to Amazon ADP & started throwing together journals, notebooks, & other low content books & flooded the market. Having a large social media following will help you sell but if you plan to rely on sales just from advertising them on Amazon, your odds are EXTREMELY low. Instead create "medium or high content" books. Activity, puzzles, & coloring books are not considered low content anymore because each page is different, the creating of these books takes more time, & some skill is required. You have much better odds of selling these type of medium content books. BUT, it doesn't cost you anything but alittle time to create low content books so realistically you have nothing to lose. If you sell only 1 book per week, that's still more money than you had the week before. Just do your best to create a cover that grabs people's attention & stands out from the competition. Considering the inside of the book is all basically the same, blank pages, your cover is your only chance to convince people to buy.

I realized that the secret to making a million is saving for a better investment. I always tell myself you don't need that new Maserati or that vacation just yet. How are Amazon low content books promoted? They charge $10 a month and $20 a month for the use of their platform. I'm not sure I follow on the promotion. There has to be some kind of promoting. After all there are thousands of others who are doing the same thing.
