I agree Kate, you tried your best to emulate the filipino dishes with ingredients available only in your country and what's best to your palate. Like the way we cook our Adobo here in the Philippines, every filipinos have different variations and procedures as long as it fits to your tastebuds. When we go in an outing we usually have pork or chicken barbecue marinated overnight. Then we have pancit, lumpia, adobong manok or baboy, inihaw na isda with tomatoes, onion inside of it of course.
It should be green mangoes😂😂, the ripe will not goes well with the fish sauce combine especially when the ripe mango is sweet.the mangho should be sour..😂❤❤ anyway thanks to the the effort..love your Russians salad
I am so curious to try to make that famous Russian Herring salads, Actually,I have a Russian friend here at Tokyo,Japan,and I did ask her about it…but she told me hard to find the same salted herrings you have there. So I rather,ask you…instead of herrings…do you think can I used salted Smoke Salmon or just plain salted Salmon? Or Have You Tried Using Salmon for that Salads?
Same here in the Philippines. Each island (or region) has their own version of a national dish. Take adobo for example. Recipe differs from one region to another. Some sear the meat first, others dont. Others add ginger, some dont. Coconut milk, no coconut milk. Etc. Everyone claims theirs is the original recipe. 😂 Yours can be the Russian version, it will still be adobo. ❤🇵🇭
