- Paola Ogechi Egonu had the perfect eye for the gaps on the opposite field during Imoco Volley Conegliano's match against VakifBank Istanbul at the Women's Volleyball Club World Champs 2019 in Shaoxing. The Italian had a brilliant swing and scored 38 points in total.

As I am Italian and I like volley, I've seen a lot of Egonu's matches both with the club or with Italy women: she has still huge margins of growth, her potential is much higher than she's expressing now and she's only 21 years old so.. ..I want to dream and think that she wants and can improve a lot!

@@kenperez3745 and I even didn’t mention about her jump serves which makes China put 4 people in the back row to receive. If Italia has a good receiver( not Sylla and Pietreni) they are unbeatable
Egonu is good but like in VNL against China, she lost composure & couldnt deliver. Zhu Ting stays composed & when the tension & pressure is high, thats when Zhu shows her class

In my opinion, her performance has decreased. The way she attacks is not as crazy as it used to be when she would play with long hair. She looked like a totally killer back then. Now, they not as strong
She's more controlled now and developed so much compared before. She has a lot of errors because of those power attacks back then. Now she knows when and where to use those power attacks to the point that it is unimaginable to block.
