Yes we would change the after after some days but dont add the salt and backing soda in it again ..
When you can rub the surface of leave very softly . Then you can clean the green surface and kept it in the to be dry and after that u can decor it

Yes it is but chose the leaves which have strong vein and thougher surface because it gives more better result than the softer , younger leaves .
