Oh man, I’ve been wanting to do a retrospective on this game for a LONG time. This was my first racing game experience. The music, the cars the color grading it all fits so well and has such an immeasurable feeling of effort and care. Then you hit a wall at 250 in Detroit at the end of a 5 min race and all of that respect immediately goes out the window and potentially into your tv screen.
the remix edition adds a new city: tokyo, the hardest one, and in my opinion, the coolest looking and it also adds more songs to the soundtrack (like jetsetter, which is probably my favourite song in the game and it is only present on remix edition) and some new cars like the pagani zonda, the cobalt ss or the 2006 dodge charger
Best fun racer of my childhood. As a kid, it felt like it had infinite content, too.

It has everything I wish newer racing games had, and then some. Debating if I should run through Remix or LA just to see
Man this game was SO good playing it on my Xbox back in the day.
