Even a broken clock is right twice a day. They were due.
Your adoration for pizza generally really shines in this vid. :)
Haven't tried Pizza Hut in a couple years. Definitely going to try. Thks for reviewing
Same up until a few months ago. I've been getting their Big New Yorker and it's delicious. They use a different sauce for it and add some herb sprinkle or something. It's delicious both in general and especially for PH.
Domino's version on the other hand sucks! I could order 12x extra cheese and it will never even have enough, let alone extra. Plus it's exactly the same as their regular pizza. Just larger but thinner.
This pizza looked really good and would try. Cool review, Papi! 😃😎
I hate that they both look really good...
As someone eating the spicy chicken sausage one right now, man, this doesn't taste like Pizza Hut at all. The Hut's pies have been bland for YEARS but you can actually taste the onions, sausage, peppers. I mean it actually tastes to me like a real pizza.
Thanks my man, had no idea they had this. I might try it out.
Just came out this morning for people that signed up for the rewards. It popped up for me as well
You need to go to Chicago to try an actual REAL tavern style pizza and not this trash ripoff from pizza Hut. I'm amazed pizza Hut is still even around at this point with how terrible their pizza has been for decades
Great review Papi 👍 I'm glad you did this review because even here in Ohio, we love this style of pizza. There's a great place here in Ohio called Cassano's Pizza, and they are famous for their Chicago Tavern Style pizza.
Wouldn't mind having what you're having?😊😊
Papi saving people money like its his job..... Youre the real one.
If you move to Chicago you could eat this shit everyday 🤣🍕🍕
luckily the suburbs have just as good of pizza now a days. You don't have to live in the actual city foe great food anymore!
@@thik72071 The best tavern-style pizza I've ever had was at Al's, in Aurora. I used to go there as a kid in the '80s (looked very '70s at the time) and it's still going strong (and still looks very '70s)! :D
As a southern illinois resident, why would anyone with a properly functioning brain want to move to Chicago? In fact, Chicago just needs to become it's own state. The rest of illinois would be much much better off. All the braindead dummies in chiraq cause the whole state to get screwed over. It's sad

As someone who was born and raised in Chicago, thank you for the clarification. Sick of seeing deep dish being called Chicago styled. True Chicago style is tavern style thin crust. Has a lot of history behind it
I was introduced to Giordano's stuffed pizzas in 1995 and I get one every years as I pass through Chicago. I've had the tavern style but, yeah, sorry, prefer stuffed,
@@thedoctor7158 hey we love our deep dish here and there, on occasion, it’s amazing. And everyone has different preferences and taste buds, not arguing what’s better just stating what’s the real Chicago style is all. Glad u like it 🙏🏻
I'm guessing you also ate tavern from a franchise like you did the stuffed. Never a way to judge somewheres actual food.
@@thik72071 franchises are never the way to go. It’s like having jersey mikes in the NE. It’s good for fast food or whatever but a disrespect to call it the best
“Go get you some” 😏 doesn’t flow lol
I have been eyeing these. Might be a cheat meal option lol.
This is nothing but PIZZA HUT EDGE PIZZA with different toppings. So what is all the excitement ABOUT???
Honestly. I'm watching this to see if there's even a difference in anything but price
I had one of these just today -the spicy chicken sausage one. I agree that it is unmistakably Pizza Hut, but I think the crust is different from their normal thin and crispy. Not really better, just different.
The pizza was okay, but I don't see myself getting another. I really just tried it out of curiosity. It would be nice if Pizza Hut could somehow get back to their former glory.
Idk its pizza hut... But i might have to get this for dinner lol. Grew up around Chicago and now near Atlanta and i miss Chicago pizza.
Pizza Hut is barely even pizza. Back in the day, my parents would have me walk to the corner independent pizza shop for pick up. We'd get deep dish occasionally. This was my Chicago experience, and I loved it.
For me Under deals on pizza hut website it is $15 Tavern style delivery or carryout for one pizza. They are charging more to make more money for the franchise or something. And under menu it is $24 Tavern style. It is too expensive If you deliver it from my store to my house also delivery is $6. It is better to get it carryout.
They indeed made a different crust for this and it is also a brand new sauce.
My local Pizza Hut is great. The only issue I have is the franchise owner here doesn't participate in most promotions or charges a buck or two extra. But the people that work there are awesome and we always get good pizzas from them.
Pizza Hut also has a cheeseburger melt and fries . My friend says pretty good with dipping sauce they include and frys really good with sauce. Try next time you venture to pizza hut
The crust is different. At least according to the app, the tavern crust is a separate option from the thin and crispy.
Ehhh I know it's a different option but it's the same crust. One of the employees on reddit said "It's the thin crust with the lip cut off."
I love what The Hut is doing here because thin pizza is king but "chicken sausage" is an odd f'n choice.
Even though I'm not a huge thin-crust fan, a couple bars around here do a damn good thin ctust. The Tavern-Style Screamin Sicilian Tavern-Style in our grocery stores is pretty good as well. I may actually give the Hut a try. It's going to be hot and humid for almost a week+ here and don't feel like cooking in that. Have a bowl of watermelon, cantaloupe and honeydew melon chilling in the fridge. That will hit the spot. Glad to see the Hut not fumble for once.
Some guy from Chicago thought the frozen pizza he got in a bar in Wisconsin was good
I had it last week (pepperoni), I was not impressed at all. It was dried out thin crust pizza. Frozen Totino’s Party Pizza would have been better.
A shame that the variety wasn't offered with Chicago-style sausage!!! Super fennel-y and amazing (lots of whole fennel seeds in each piece, generally) -- I've never had anything that came close in any other city.
This one reminds me a lot of the Dominos thin crust pizza.
Interesting move, Pizza Hut….
Aloha 🍕🤙🏼
Those pies look good👍🍕🍕
this is tasty but it's too pricey for me. it cost over 20 bucks in my area. for a medium! lol
Chicago thin crust is awesome!! (The real deal. Haven't tried Pizza Hut's. It's probably not the real deal, but might still be fine.) I recommend AL'S in Aurora (a western suburb). Incredibly old school, connected to an actual tavern, and probably the best Chicago tavern style in the world. BTW, Chicago locals eat both deep dish and 'tavern style'! (And a million other varieties from other places.)
It’s a medium thin, stretched into a large.
If you go to WALMART, you might.find a St. Louis IMO’S pizza. Get the cheese only first. Then if you like it find yourself the one you like. Go to Price chopper’s and in the cheese section near the deli meat is a container of cheese. IMO’S cheese.
Papi, what’s goin’ on, brodie?! Here’s the million $ question tho, would you pay full price of $18.99 for this if they removed the promotion? Lol
If you’re spending over $15 on a Pizza Hut pizza you’ve made the wrong life choices
I still don't understand how food reviewers can stand to eat all this food cold. By the time they eat it you know it is already cooled down
The only good crust at Pizza Hut is the Original Pan Crust you have to pay $1 extra for.
Wait, they own KFC. Pichitzza. 😂
Never buy a thin crust pizza with pepperoni. That would be an insult.
Domino's thin crust is surprisingly very good. The whole family likes it even though we have a lot of other choices locally.
I'll rather get the thin n crispy
I ordered the spicy chicken sausage and it just arrived about 15 mins ago and I'll repost verbatim what I posted on Reddit.
Two thumbs up from here in NW Wyoming. Just arrived at my door.
First off, I swap between Dominos and Pizza Hut depending on the special though the Hut has always been my favorite. My pizzas just arrived and I started with the tavern.
I think the Hut really knocked the ball out of the park with this one. The crust is nice and crisp, you can actually taste the sausage, fire roasted peppers, and caramelized onions. It's not all sort of blended together so nothing really stands out. Each thing is identifiable in every bite which surprised me considering Hut pizza has seemed so ... bland for years that the only pizzas I was ordering was pepperoni.
Now I will say that I have had Chicago Tavern pizzas before and this is a bit off but still close and still good. So to the Hut and you guys who work there, two big thumbs up for making my mouth dance tonight and I really hope they stick with the expanded ingredients.
❤️👍
Of course they gotta change n add 19 diff ingredients of all sorts to make it taste even remotely good, hate Pizza Hut n u can’t change my mind lol. 🍻 yall
so $12 for bread, grease, spices , mk no
I don’t really like pizza huts thin crust, dominos has the best out of the generic pizza places with the flaky thin crust
Wow, without going to the DEALS area, that is WAAAAY overpriced….
How dare them have a dirty diaper in the parking lot when such a celebrity like papi is coming through !
I'll take pizza hut over papa John's and dominos and little Caesars anyday pizza hut in the 90s was really good they should've stayed w same recipe.
I mean, nobody eats pizza hut in Chicago. You go to a real pizzaria. We don't call it tavern style. That hashtag has been popping up to generate views that's it.
Dirty diaper 🤣
So this is just a thin crust pizza cut into squares like Domino's.
@@Kevin_Flynn it all depends on what u like. I would have said Domino's cause their thin crust has a sprinkle seasoning on the top but now pizza hut has the seasoning and caramelized onions. So I'm going with pizza hut.
I tried the margarita one today. It was actually really good. But I think this is basically their "Edge" pizza with different toppings and seasoning. Nothing to write home about. I wish they would bring back the Sicilian crust pizza, or their pretzel crust.
hello evredyfiory mucga graciaspor el vdeo muy weno la pizza se ve rica ñamñamñam mwedas un poco soy poobre oorfavor
They stole my city 😞🌆
Meh. Pan Pizza (Pizza Hut's trademark) still is #1. This is just another thin n' crispy but just cut in smaller pieces.
What a waste of money.
These are $20 a pop, wow. My local pizza place has infinitely better pizza than Pizza Hut and their largest size is like $17.
I recently lived in a place where Pizza Hut was by far the best pizza place in town, sadly
That would be nice. Cheapest place ... well the ONLY two places other than pizza hut or dominos where I am is around $30 for a 14 inch pie and less toppings. I order a pizza hut tastemaker large extra pepperoni pan pizza for $13 I get edge to edge pepperoni and a nice amount of jalapeno slices. The two local places maybe half the pepperoni and a few jalapeno slices of infinite sadness here and there.
Pizza Hut prices are outrageous... Hard pass just on the $$$
@@LVVMCMLV until I get back to Illinois local don’t cut it, Texas isn’t know for pizza
The amount of grown people eating food for a buck is sad
I used to enjoy your vids...
until you had to expose your political views...
I don't know why you popped up on the feed again...
Good bye.
I should point out mine did NOT actually have the pesto on it :(
The pesto is very salty, PH managed to mess that up somehow
